Sheer + Blonde = One Happy Lady!

I have seen it, tried it, and now I bought it. I am sure you have seen it on the drugstore shelves too - John Freida's Sheer Blonde Hair Care line.

sheer_blonde_shampoo.jpgI received a sample of the Sheer Blonde Highlight Activating Shampoo and Glistening Perfection Conditioner for Platinum to Champagne Blondes in the mail last week, and gave it a try when I ran out of my regular shampoo. If I had picked the formula myself, I probably would have picked the Honey to Caramel Blonde colors, as I am a "strawberry" blonde. But I liked this shade on me.

sheer_blonde_conditioner.jpgNeither the shampoo nor conditioner has any color pigments in it, but it has something (only what - I do not know) that brings out the blonde highlights in my hair, and makes my hair less brassy while helping it appear more vibrant and shiny.  The highlights are actually more accented - like I had it done only a few days ago at the salon, which in fact it has been almost 3 months since my hair had been highlighted.

So, on my trip to the drugstore this weekend, I picked up the full size Shampoo and Conditioner. I did stay with the Platinum to Champagne Blonde shade that I tried, as I was afraid that the darker shade may not be as highlight enhancing. The product is packaged in a squeeze tube, with a large flip-top cap. There is only a mere 8.25 oz. in the tube, about 1/2 less than a normal size shampoo bottle. Just don't let the $6.99 per tube fool you into thinking it is cheap, as it really is the same price as most full size salon brands.
