I love different reds for different uses. MAC's Russian Red is my favorite red for the stage, but MAC New York Apple and Redwood are more every day wear. For a matte stain, Bobbi Brown Stain in Chili can't be beat. And my favorite red gloss is Tarte Supergloss in Bonnie and Clyde.

For those days when you want a really sheer red, I suggest lining and filling in lips with a red liner like MAC liner in Brick and then topping it with sheer gloss.

Taking your suggestion, I went to the Clinique counter today and bought Angel Red. I love it!
