Giorgio Armani Lip Wax - a Blush of Color for Lips in a Compact.

Giorgio Armani invents a modern vision of lip color. This is Lip Wax compact lipstick - a new blush of color for lips. Like a second-skin garment, the weightless texture dresses lips in a comfortable and extremely fine film of color with a sophisticated satin patina finish.

The incredibly smooth and silky texture of Lip Wax glides over lips leaving rich, tailor-made color.  The ultra-fine and soft Micro-fil™ veil ensures a smooth and seemingly weightless result. Lip Wax introduces freer and more inventive ways of bringing color to lips. The simple gesture of dabbing on color with the fingertips gives a soft blush and patina satin effect.

Lip Wax ($26) is designed in six signature Giorgio Armani shades, from nude-beige to a rich wine color.  These shades can be applied alone or played within endless combinations to personalize your lips and follow your mood.

n°1 Nude beige – a shade lighter than the natural lip color
n°2 Antique rose – a discreet lip highlight
n°3 Sienna – brings warmth to the lips
n°4 Raspberry – a colorful pink purple
n°5 Cardinal red – a bright, transparent red
n°6 Deep Chianti – a rich color for strong marked lips

The full Lip Wax collection will be available beginning in October at fine department stores, but are available online at giorgioarmanibeauty.com already.

Lip wax. I don't like the sound of that:)

I see that the model is touching her lips, implying that the lipstick is dry (it won't rub off). What is the texture of the lipstick on the lips?

I actually like the sound of lip wax. It sounds like it would seal in moisture AND color. Can't wait to seek out and try.

Don't really like the idea of a compact lipstick, it sounds messy to aply.

Actually bought lip wax #2 and #4 today, and frankly, I love it. You can use a lip brush, or just your finger, but using an lip brush is probably best.
