Luxury Cosmetics with a Conscience - Josie Maran Cosmetics.

I am so excited that I got to try some of the newest cosmetics on the market. Not only are these cosmetics part of a new brand, I think this line could have started something here. You see, Josie Maran Cosmetics, is a complete collection of pure, natural and evolved cosmetics, that are equally chic, luxurious, and downright beautiful.

Josie_Maran_Cosmetics.jpgYou remember, Josie, don't you? She was the face of Maybelline cosmetics for an unprecedented ten years! A natural beauty, Josie never bothered wearing makeup before becoming a model, but quickly became enamored with makeup once she learned all the tips and tricks from working with makeup artists in the business. She soon discovered that beauty helped to not only transform a look, but it helped to boost her confidence and spirit as well. When Josie was pregnant a few years ago, she wanted to get back to a more natural lifestyle and searched for natural makeup. She found some, but these did not live up to the levels of sphistication and luxury that she craved. This is when it hit her to use what she had learned and created a business based upon what she loved.

Josie Maran Cosmetics are created with natural, organic, nontoxic and gentle ingredients wherever possible.  Just listen to some of these good for you ingredients: avocado, coconut, and flaxseed oil. Jojoba, Soybean, beeswax, olive, cocoa and shea butter too. Josie also used some pretty innovative proprietary formulas that allow the cosmetics to look and feel just like high-end, luxury cosmetic items. Her goal was to no longer have to trade off luxury for natural, and she certainly has proven it with her line.

The line:
Concealer Stick $20
Pressed Powder $30
Cream Cheek $20
Pressed Blush $18
Eye Liner $16
Eye Shadow $18
Finger Paints $36
Lip Gloss $18
Lip Liner $16
Lipstick $18
Plumping Lip Gloss $22
Bronzing Powder $30
Cream Bronzer $30
Argan Oil $42

The packaging is absolutely gorgeous too. The products printing is done with soy ink, and the products themselves come in either sleek, rose-colored metallic packaging that is made of a corn based biodegradable plastic, recycled aluminum, or glass. You would have never thought it could be so pretty.

I absolutely love this cream bronzer. It is the perfect color and really warms up my face when used directly over my foundation. It can easily be blended to look natural, or applied on top of itself for a more dramatic look. And, my fingers make the perfect applicator for this bronzer. Beautiful!
