Getting Healthy with Nutrisystem: Week 9.

A funny thing happened on the way to the farm this week. I ran out of my Nutrisystem food. There was a little snafu with my order, and though all is well and I am totally back on my plan now, I definitely struggled a bit.

I honestly didn't think I was struggling though. I did what I always do when a problem arises; I came up with a solution. I thought about how I would transition off of Nurtisystem and that is what I did. I stuck to my eating schedule and substituted regular food from the grocery store. Well, food that I thought was comparable. I choose lower calorie, lower sugar, high protein and high fiber food. I ate at the same times that I normally eat my Nurtisystem food. I managed. Though I really have to admit that I missed the food, especially my favorite protein packed Fudge Graham Bars.

What I didn't manage to do was lose any weight. I guess it goes to show how powerful and how well Nutrisystem really works. In just five days of being off of Nutrisystem and eating similar foods, I gained 3 pounds, bringing my weight loss down to just 12 pounds. It was not what I was expecting.

I am going to stick to Nutrisystem 100% and work out extra hard to lose that weight. I will back on track and will still try to reach my goals!

Disclosure: As part of the Nutrisystem Nation Blogger Program, Nutrisystem is providing me with the Nustrisystem program, free of charge, which includes food and support, in exchange for my honest opinion of the program. No other compensation has been given. All thoughts are my own.

MAC Cosmetics RiRi Hearts MAC.

Get ready! The MAC Cosmetics RiRi Hearts MAC Fall collection will be for sale online tomorrow, September 26th. Be prepared, because if the RiRi Hearts MAC Summer Collection was any indication, this new RiRi Hearts MAC Fall collection will sell out in record time too.

Rihanna premieres her perfect palette of lavish fall colour – a range of decidedly daring yet classically gorgeous shades, finishes and tools, all encased in the metallic warmth of rose gold packaging. Lipstick in deep raisin, orange frost, creamy nude and the vivid red of RiRi Woo match gleaming Lipglass, while eyes in contrasting soft and smoky cocoas complement luminous skin highlighted with Diamonds Cream Colour Base and Powder Blush in Bad Girl Gone Good.

MAC Cosmetics RiRi Hearts MAC Fall

This one is all about fall. It features bold colors for the lips, subtle smoky shades for the eyes, and beautiful glowy products for the cheeks.

My favorite products in the collection are for the face -- or cheeks in this case. They included the very popular Hibiscus Kiss Powder Blush Duo again. This is a beautiful powder bronzer in a neutral shade that can be worn by anyone. It is a light shade of bronzer, and looks especially great when blended with the cool coral blush. For my cheeks, though, I am loving the Powder Blush in Bad Girl Gone Good. It is very wearable copper peach shade, with a beautiful satin finish. It is the perfect color to transition skin from summer to fall. I use a bit of the Cream Colour Base in Diamonds, dabbed high on my cheekbones to finish the cheek look.

Of course, the star product of the collection is RiRi Woo, another relaunch. This time, it includes RiRi Woo Lipglass that totally completes the look. As I am not a huge fan of red on myself and prefer to wear a red gloss, this cool red cream shade is it for me.

The collection finishes with subtle smoke and drama for the eyes. Each palette contains four easy to wear colors in either light browns or light grays. They are both lighter than what I expected, so the emphasis is on the subtle when I say smoke. The drama comes from the Pointblack Liquilast Liner and the Extended Play Lash Gigablack Mascara.

Herbal Essences Moroccan My Shine Shampoo & Conditioner.

I live for great hair. You know when you're having a good hair day, you simply have a better day, right? While I admit that I spend a fortune at the salon, I am the first to admit that I don't spend a fortune on hair styling products. I don't believe in pouring product down the drain, so when I shop hair care, I most often shop drugstore.

One of my go-to drugstore brands Herbal Essences just upped the game with their new Moroccan My Shine Collection, which consists of a shampoo & conditioner. Not just any ordinary shampoo & conditioner -- this one uses Argan Oil in it.

Now, Argan oil is nothing new to beauty products. It is a very highly sought after and effective oil that is used in both skin and hair care products. Argan Oil is extremely nourishing. For hair, it helps it look and feel soft, with a ton of shine. Who doesn't want that?

Herbal Essences Moroccan My Shine Shampoo uses the Argan Oil as a conditioning agent so that hair is not only cleansed, it allows it to stay soft, shiny and easy to comb. Usually my hair feels like a nest before I add in conditioner, but it actually felt like I used conditioner after just shampooing. I didn't stop there, though, because my hair is dry and of course, I used the Moroccan My Shine Conditioner as well. This conditioner is a rich and creamy formula that targets the damage and dryness, leaving hair silky and moisturized.

Of course, hair is left smelling super fresh. The shampoo & conditioner smells very fruity, with most notably an apple scent, with a bit of floral softness to it.

Herbal Essences Moroccan My Shine Shampoo & Conditioner sell for $2.99 each at drugstores and mass retailers now.
