Help for Curls from Nexxus!
I have naturally wavy hair. It is very fine, so when I want to wear it curly it gets so weighed down and just looks - well, not so great. I have found that using some Curl Enchancing products from Nexxus, is helping my waves turn to curls and have them looking better.
Gorgeous Curls Styling Foam - This has become my staple, even when not looking lot's of curls. The mousse helps to defines curls and keep away the frizz. The formula is very lightweight and is designed to lock out moisture, while locking in curls. And the volume I get... beautiful.
Alluring Curls Styling Elixir - I use this specifically when I want the most curls and definition. It definitely helps to not only define my curls, but the frizz I usually get in some spots is virtually gone. It is a very lightweight formula too, almost like a creamy gel. I only use a bit and after my hair is dry, I add a bit more to the frizz prone areas.
Ask you stylist about Nexxus and which curl enhancing products would work best for you.
No More Lackluster Locks.
I got my hair cut (almost 6 inches cut off, and multiple layers added in) about a month ago. While I am finally used to the shorter hair, I can already see the damage I am doing by blow drying it everyday and even sometimes curling or straightening it. Add to that the root touch ups and highlights, my hair has been quite lackluster, if I say so myself.
To my beauty closet I headed and immediately pulled out Shine Coconut Amla Revitalizing Hair Treatment from Global Goddess Beauty. Indian lovelies give themselves a weekly coconut oil scalp massage treatment, and Shalini Vadhera, creator of Global Goddess, recreated a similar formula, and has packaged it up for us.
The treatment is an extraordinary blend of Coconut, Amla, Henna, and Avocado, which are all naturally vitamin enriched oils, each with their own agenda for taking the guesswork out of luscious locks. It smells amazing, and a tiny bit, maybe the size of a pea, is all you need.
I was apprehensive to try a hair oil at first, but I don't think I could go without a weekly treatment of Shine anymore. My hair is smooth, full of shine, and is extremely soft.
Shine hair treatment retails for $45, and is available at the Global Goddess website or Sephora.
Hair Therapy!
I have struggled when purchasing hair products. Besides the fact that there are simply so many products to choose from, I have a hard time getting consistent results day in and day out. Until now.
I have found the perfect hair care line to provide me with tremendous results each and every day. And I only alter one or two of the styling products depending on how I am wearing my hair for the day, or if it is really humid. Can you take a guess at what I use? I am using products from the Biolage line by Matrix.
I am most hooked on a few things, while changing a just a few in my routine to adjust accordingly, like I said. But with each and every Biolage products I choose, I have great hair days - every day. On most days, I use ColorCareTherapie Color Care Shampoo and Color Care Conditioner. Depending on the style I select from either the Hydro-Foaming Styler (mousse) or the Bodifying Cream Gel. I always finish with the Complete Control Extra Hair Spray, which is an aerosol that has tremendous hold while feeling weighted down or sticky, and finish that off with a quick mist of Shine Renewal Spray for the ultimate high shine.
The holy grail product of the line has got to be the Hydrathérapie Cera-Repair at-home treatment. I use it once in a week, sometimes just in the shower, or if I feel my hair needs extra moisturization, I leave it in all night and rinse it out in the morning. It feels so light on that I sometimes wonder how it works, but it does. It really is a treat and makes my hair look like I just walked away from a $300 salon appointment.
I realize we all have our different hair needs and problems that we deal with, but I have not been so happy with such an entire line of products in what seems like, forever. I am so glad to have found it. I plan on trying some products from the Smooththeraie line this summer, when I will want my hair looking extra sleek and smooth.
If you are looking for a change, visit this handy chart Biolage has prepared online. I will help you locate the products that you should be using for every hair want and need.

Spring Hair Trends.
From the Antonio Prieto Salon in New York City, comes the hottest hair trends to hit this spring. And in case you didn't know - today is the first day of Spring!
Color is Bold & Beautiful, Victorian/Baroque Decadence (a la Marie Antoinette), Luxurious & Edgy.
*Brunettes stay mysterious and ultra-chic with stormy, cool browns and
single process color. Throw your hundreds of highlights to the wayside
and accent your hair with bigger chunks of color or accessories.
*Blondes find a subtler, serious side with matted tones of platinum and
blue-grey. These muted, powder hues emulate a new type of elegance.
*Redheads stray away from ‘au natural’ donning flushed, decadent
crimson and copper tones. Such zealous colors stray far away from
‘au natural’ but embody the ultimate in luxury.
The cuts are modern, sexy, fresh and glamorous: A melding of different eras (80’s volume,
20’s finger-waves, Victorian Glamour, the 90’s short crop (a la Linda Evangelista). It is all about Individual Style - not one uniform look- more about the shape.
*Long Hair Dramatic, more texture, shorter layers around the face;
allows the hair to move and appear less solid.
*Short Hair Modern, textured version of the late 80’s crop with softer edges
for more movement. The “New Romantics” look is revisited: bi-Level or
disconnected short cuts where their hair is longer on top, cut shorter underneath.
*Men’s Hair The edgy, rocker look: highly texturized, different lengths,
asymmetrical fringe gives the guy with style that extra something.
The styles are:
*Imperfect, chaotic waves
*80’s volume but with less on top, a focus on the bottom
*Sleek high ponytails, French twists
*Headbands, ribbons, elastics
*Extensions - natural looking - a great way to add non-permanent color & volume
*Falls - if you don’t have the length in your own hair - buy it!
What will you do different with your hair this Spring?
Really - What Were They Thinking?
Oh my - I don't know what these ladies were thinking. The makeup and hair looks on these beautiful folks don't do them justice.
Jodie Foster - First, I think that the hair color is too dark for her,
and way too heavy on the bangs. Also, the hair style is just too
"everyday". And the dark makeup makes Jodie look too old.
Sorry, this is not a good look for you!
Penelope Cruz - Honey, you are just too young and beautiful
for this dark and sleek look. When I first looked at her in the
photos, I honestly did not know who this was. She looks like
a woman well past her 50th birthday. Lighten up, Penelope!
Elisabeth Shue - We haven't seen you in a while, and I would
have loved to have seen you all glammed up. Elisabeth, it
looks like you did your own hair and makeup, and picked up
your dress at Macy's on the way. This is the Oscars, dear.
