Bobbi Brown Custom Palettes.
I am very curious about these palettes, even more so now that Julia from All About the Pretty raved about them so much when I saw her last week. Bobbi Brown knows palettes, and I think she has another winner on her hands with her newly designed Custom Palettes.

You select from a three pan or a four pan palette, both of which are mirrored, and you select from Eye Shadow, Shimmer Wash Eye Shadow, Blush or Shimmer Blush - or a combo of any - and fill up the palette.
First, I want to know where are the lip shades? Surely they are in development, as we need our Bobbi Brown Lip Color and Lip Gloss.
Another product I think that needs to be made in pan palette size is a bronzer - oh, and a concealer and powder too. That would be perfect.
Next, as I am looking to come up with my mix of shades, I notice my favorite Bobbi shades are not there. Agh - I cannot live without my Smoke shadow as I use it as my eye liner almost daily! But I suppose I could throw my single pan in separately - if I must;).
Really, this palette system is a fabulous idea as it brings us back to the basics of Bobbi Brown. I would fill up a four pan palette with shadows and a three pan palette with the blush. Each empty palette costs $10, the shadows sell for $20 each and the blush for $22 each.
I cannot wait to see what more becomes available, because if I know Bobbi, she will have all of her regular shades available and add more products for the ultimate customization.

Prescriptives The Illuminator All Over Face Color.
The Illuminator All Over Face Color Powder from Prescriptives saved me this weekend. With so much, really too much going on, I barely had time for makeup, and using The Illuminator made my makeup a cinch.
I used the powder not only on my cheeks as a bronzer with the two darkest colors and then topping that with the pink and gold color, I highlighted them also with the two shades in the middle, a real light shimmery gold mix. Then I used the darker bronzed colors on my eyelid, and the golds on my brow bone. I even dabbed a bit of the gold color on the bottom of my lower lip after applying some gloss.
The colors blended so easily and felt like satin on my skin.
Here is what Prescriptives says what The Illuminator is:
"This ultra-luxurious all over face color is like candlelight in a compact. Bask in the glow as you sweep The Illuminator All Over Face Color over face and cheeks to highlight, contour, illuminate and customize any look with golden warmth. Three complementary shades impart a luminous 3-D effect that is strikingly beautiful and flattering to all skin tones. Perfect for touch-ups throughout the day, it can be worn as a sheer wash of color, layered for depth and dimension or swirled together to create a customized shade. Plus, the sleek gunmetal compact with crystal-studded metal charm has show-off appeal."
I love it, and know you will too. The Illuminator All Over Face Color is $35 at your Prescriptives counter and on their website, of course.

I know it is hard to decide on which palette you want and which one(s) you want to give. I say buy them all, glance over each one more than a few times, and then make your decision. And if you are like me, you will probably need to go back to buy more because you won't be able to resist playing with them all.
These limited edition beauties are available now, so you need to get yours and quick.
MAC Viva Glamorous.
It is so wonderful that MAC has incorporated their charitable Viva Glam line with the holidays, broadening their contribution. Just look at their entries this year.
This year, Viva Glamorous features two beautiful compacts in their red cases embellished with their Royal Crown. There are two palettes, one in cool tones, one in warm. The cool palette features Viva Glam II and IV Lipsticks, and Viva Glam VI Gloss. The warm palette features Viva Glam V and VI Lipsticks, and Viva Glam V Gloss. Like all of the Viva Glam products, every cent goes to MAC's AIDS fund. Each palette sells for $22.50.
I say, Viva Gorgeous!
This Palette is a Perfect "10".
Expanding (literally) on the popularity of their popular 10 Face Powder - you remember the bronzer/highlighter duo - Benefit has created the 10 Palette.

Seeing as my 10 Powder was almost immediately lost from my makeup bag (yup, my sister!), maybe I can have this 10 Palette in my aresnal. I will certainly learn to hide this, though . ;)
The Perfect 10 Palette:
Ten Powder Duo
Two Lip Shades - Sheer Golden Berry & Sheer Plum
Two Eye Shadows - Soft Mauve & Golden Taupe
Applicator Brushes
For the perfect price of $28, this limited edition Ten Palette makes the perfect present - even if only for yourself!

No one does a palette quite like Bobbi Brown. Her Burnt Sugar Metallics palette is certainly getting a lot of use from me, and I am looking forward to playing with more of them by personalizing my own palette system.

Customizing is simple. You pick an eye, lip, and cheek palette, and add that to your little palette system holder, and you are finished.
Here at the palettes you can select for your own kit.

I just wish they had one complete price for the whole palette system, but I am thinking that someone might choose both lip palettes or something, so they left the products priced individually for that reason.

Benefit's Powder Pop! Combination Set.
My sister called me last night and told me that I need to get this for her.

She was more than in awe of this set from Benefit and said she was putting it on the top of her Christmas list. She also mentioned more than a few times that I would be responsible for gifting it to her. lol
Powder Pop! from Benefit is a box filled with three of it's most popular face powders: Hoola, a bronzing powder; Dallas, a rosy-bronze all-over color; and Dandelion, a soft pink.
As I use both Dallas and Dandelion on a pretty regular basis, I totally understand why she would want this. You see, I like to blend Dallas on my cheeks, over my nose, with a gentle sweep on my chin and forehead, then blend Dandelion over that, just concentrating on the apples of my cheeks. I love the look, and wear it at least a few times a week.
I guess I should spoil her and teach her my little application routine. I bet she will put Hoola to good use in the Summer months as well!
Powder Pop! is an exclusive to Sephora where it is selling for $30.
