Happy Mother's Day Sweepstakes!

Happy Mother's Day!

I was recently asked by Olay "What advice did you learn from Mom that makes her your beauty by example?". My answer was featured in the May issue of ELLE magazine!

Declare Mom your beauty by example by going to to join in with the Olay feature yourself.

My mom did influence my beauty routine by teaching me that sleep is very important; sunscreen, of course, needs to be used everyday; and that by sticking to a great skin care routine will keep your skin glowing.

I love this sweepstakes and I would love to share how my Mother influenced my beauty. From the time I first asked about makeup, until now, my Mother preaches natural beauty. Mom brought me to see a Lancome makeup artist when I was 16 or 17 years old and was taught all about french skin care and how to put on my most natural, beautiful face. Mom and I still go to the Lancome counter when I visit every Christmas and summer.

I hope you had a great Mother's Day Teri.
My mama the first who put make up on my face when i tin.Its was for dance party at the school.Long time ago but i always remember it.And I was beautifull !My mama always know how to look awesome. And she teach me. Important-always remove your makeup before go to bed .And use SPF products!
Thank you!
My Mom taught me that less is better. She never wore much makeup and she taught me that I don't need makeup to look beautiful because the natural look is better on me :)
My Mom taught me to "blend, blend, blend" makeup from an early age.
My mom taught me that beauty comes from within, but that a little makeup never hurt anyone. :)
No, My Mother never wears makeup and I can't get her to use skincare either. Everything I learned about makeup has been through blogs, videos and magazine. Trial and error helped too LOL This is why I appreciate the blogs so much! Thanks for the giveaway! I'd be thrilled to try out all these products that I can't afford!
My Mother did influence my beauty routine by teaching me that taking care of your skin is the most important thing in my beauty routine. She explained to me that by washing my face (and later, removing my makeup every night) and moisturizing, that I will keep my skin looking youthful and healthy. I trust her opinion because she looks amazing for her age and people constantly think she's 10 years younger than she is!

This post is dedicated to my Mom. :-)
My Mom taught me that "less is more" when it comes to my beauty routine. All you need is mascara, lipstick, and some blush and you're ready to go.
When it comes to my beauty routine, my mom taught me that beauty shines through your eyes! So if nothing else, a good mascara is a must.
My mom didn't use a lot of makeup, but she taught me to drink lots of water and to always wear sunscreen.
When I was younger, my mama and I had very different skin types: hers, very dry; mine, hormonally oily. I would play for hours secretly in her makeup drawer, because nothing was more attractive than bright blue eyeshadow on a 10 year old. I would watch her do her nighttime routine, cleaning her face with cold cream then slathering on the moisturizer -- something from Estee Lauder whose name escapes me at the moment. She also made it a point to drink lots of water back before it became "fashionable."

Now that I'm older and my skin has changes to sensitive and dry (year round, even in Florida) I follow her example and have adapted her routine to meet my needs and the changes that skincare has made in the past 30 years. It's still all about the moisturizer. Slathering in on every night, including the hands and feet. At 70-something, my mama is still a beautiful woman, aging naturally and content in her own skin. That's the real example I strive to follow.
My momma taught me that properly cleaned skin is most important!
My mother is always willing to try new beauty products and always willing to share her finds. I guess that's where I get it from! She taught me that beauty is never the most important part of life, but that it can be a lot of fun and a way to connect with others.
My Mother always told me to wear sunscreen on my face to prevent sunspots and aging. Thanks Mom!
My Mom taught me to wash my face every morning and every night.
My mother taught me to wash my face before bed!
My mother influenced my beauty routine by showing me less is better. We used make up minimally .She taught me to always clean my face before I go to bed. I miss my mom so much,💋💋💋
My mom taught me, by example, that makeup is never a necessity. Fun, maybe, but NOT something you don't leave the house without.
My mother always made sure that I wore sunscreen!
My mother taught me that sunscreen is very important! Also hydrating your skin head to toe is key to younger looking skin.
My mom taught me the importance of always doing your nails, even if it's just buffing and a clear coat. She always said, "Nails always help you look polished" I still love that saying! :)
My mother taught me to care for my skin, now here I am almost 40 and get questioned on what my age really is because I did listen and take care of myself and my skin. Many thanks to my mommy!!
