I protect my hair under a hat when sunning by the pool, but I do like to look like I've spent the day there. You know I do the whole faux-tan routine, now I have something to instantly lighten my hair. I choose to use it only around my face as if the sun really did lighten it, and that is one of the wonders of this new product from John Freida. From the Sheer Blonde collection, this is the Go Blonder Controlled Lightening Spray.

Formulated with citrus and chamomile, the spray works with styling heat to gradually lighten and brighten for a natural-looking, blonder blonde. The most important part of the spray is this patent-pending technology that combines fixative and conditioning polymers that retain hydrogen peroxide, allowing for control of lightening.
I just pull my hair back while leaving some face framing strands in front and along the side, spray it on on my damp hair, comb it through, blow dry, then use a flat iron to seal in the spray as it lightens with heat. After using it 3 times, my locks looked like they were kissed by the sun.
Go Blonder Controlled Lightening Spray is available now at drugstores and mass retailers for $9.99.
