Makeup Wars: My Valentine's Look.
It will be Valentine's Day in ten days, and it is about time that we start planning that special night out. That's why the Makeup Wars bloggers have taken on the challenge of creating our Valentine's Day looks.
My Valentine's look is actually a look I will be wearing on the night before Valentine's Day, as that is the anniversary of my engagement. My husband picked up my ring, and I guess couldn't wait until the 14th to ask me to marry him, so we got engaged on February 13th. That was 24 years ago. That seems like forever. Wow! I'm old. Anyway, that is when we celebrate Valentine's Day and our anniversary. Back to makeup. My look takes into account the things that my husband likes about my makeup, when he comments on it. I usually hear, "Wow, that's some bright lipstick" or "You're wearing too much eye makeup". But when he compliments me, it is always about the same thing; glowy skin, flirty lashes or glossy nude lips. So this look is for him.

Glowy Skin:
Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation {On my list of favorite things 2010, 2011 and 2012}
YSL Touche Éclat {Touche Éclat Review}
CHANEL Poudre Signée de CHANEL Illuminating Powder {Chanel Illuminating Powder Review}
bareMinerals READY Blush The Natural High {The Natural High Review}
Flirty Lashes:

Thanks! I love these lashes.
That Chanel powder is so beautiful. I use it all the time!
Funny about doing things our husbands like ;) Your hair color has totally transformed your coloring so I'm sure you will find a YSL to work for you.
If you think you'll use that powder a lot, it is worth the splurge!
Thanks! I'm going to check yours out now too.
I love the Armani foundation and Touche Eclat too.
Marcia - Thanks for the compliment. *blush* I always love a bold eye with nude lips. I know it is nothing new, but I like it and can wear it.
Cindy - You are too kind. Thanks! And you do need to check out the Chanel powder. Play with it at the counter a few times to be sure, but I think it would be great on your skin tone.
Georgia - Thanks so much! My lips do look really nude in my photo, but didn't look as nude in person.
Pammy - Thanks for the comment. You need NAKED Basics. You will use it all the time - I swear. And do check out the Chanel powder. I use it almost everyday for a little bit of glow. You are so much younger, so you could use it all over.
Carleen - Thanks! Do play with that powder and let me know if you like it. I am sort of surprised at how much I like it because I feel that when I add in radiance, it accents my lines. This doesn't. It adds a smooth radiance to my skin.
