Spring 2014: Guerlain Météorites Blossom.

If there is one iconic makeup product worth owning, it is Guerlain Météorites. These little colored balls of pearl add the most beautiful soft radiant touch of glowing color to the skin. The new Météorites Blossom collection celebrates this iconic product as it has been reinvented.

You see, these legendary Météorites Pearls, whose light-diffusing properties minimize flaws and add brightness to the skin and have for more than 25 years after its invention, are emerging with new constellations of colors to revive light and boost radiance. For the first time ever, Météorites Pearls incorporates Guerlain’s new, revolutionary Stardust Technology, a spherical pigment contained within each pearl. This formulation diffracts light upon contact to offer the ultimate in luminous skin. So, of course, the star product is the new Météorites Pearls, in three shades. The rest of the products complement the new pearls and are just as stunning.

Iconic Makeup Product: Guerlain Météorites Blossom

Météorites Pearls - $60.00
Each shade of Météorites Pearls begins with the same legendary combination of 3 colors which adapt to every skin tone and collectively work to beautify skin: mauve catches the light, pink refreshes and yellow counters
dullness and corrects redness. These delicate pearls continue to be shaped by hand, with craftsmanship mastered by only 4 people in the world. Softer than ever, the new pearls allow for an even easier application and a more visible effect with every brushstroke.

  • Clair - A harmony of green pearls for extra redness correction, white pearls to reflect the light and champagne pearls to adapt to the skin and gently illuminate it
  • Medium - A nude harmony containing beige and champagne pearls to naturally reflect light and even the complexion, combined with peach pearls to add a unique glow to the skin
  • Doré - The most smoldering harmony, this shade incorporates chocolate pearls with satin shimmers and vivifying fuchsia pearls that revive radiance and unifying beige pearls for deliciously beautiful skin

Météorites Brush - $42.00
The natural pink bristles of the Météorites brush are longer and softer, perfectly complimenting the new pearls. This luxurious brush sweeps lightly over Météorites Pearls taking only the exact quantity of powder required.

Météorites Bubble Blush - $42.00
Guerlain’s new cream blushes melt instantly into the skin, leaving a satiny finish. Scented with a delicate violet scent, the pop of color is fresh and gorgeous for spring. I have been using Cherry and found that I only need a dab of the bubble on the apple of my cheek for the perfect pop of freshness. I blend it out with my fingertips.

Maxi Lash Mascara - $30.00
Guerlain’s Cils d’Enfer Maxi Lash Mascara guarantees gorgeous eyes every time. This was my first time using a Guerlain mascara and I am impressed. With a combination of 3 polymers to volumize, lengthen and strengthen, my lashes had the volume and length I crave. Never clumpy, Maxi Lash can be layered until the right amount of volume is achieved. I was totally not expected the violet scent, but it was wonderful.

This has to be one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. I have Mereorites and have repurchased. I'm interested to see how the new ones compare. Have you tried? Are they really that different? Are they better?
I've bought other ball type products and always loved them because I can't justify $60 but I think I'm at a pace where I think I'm going to do it! I'm curious to check out that blush too. I'm a cream blush girl fan, but I'm reading this is more of a gel.
How do you use this... all over your face or just where you would put on blush? It looks too light for blush.
i'm pretty glad i held off on these for so long. now i can get the reformulated (and hopefully better) versions!
What to do...the beautiful Guerlain Meteorites or the highly sought after Hourglass Ambient Powder? Do they serve the same function and purpose or are they completely different?
Jean - I have the original Meterorites but I have not tried the new formula and am anxious to see the the difference for myself.
Allison - You will love Meteorites! The blush is a gel cream type of blush. It feels sort of bouncy if that makes sense.
Brenda - I brush it all over my face as a finishing powder to "glow".
Jenn - Let me know if you pick up the new Meterorites and what you think!
Lisa - I think they are different. I use the Hourglass powders in a different way and more for highlighting and use a lot. I would use the Meteroites more as a finishing powder and not as often - only for special occasions.
