Get the Look: Jessica Alba at the 2013 Golden Globes.

Jessica Alba was one of my favorite overall looks from the 2013 Golden Globes. Her colorful ODLR coral dress and even brighter coral lip looked amazing on her. Her makeup was created by Makeup Artist Lauren Andersen using Hourglass Cosmetics.

On Sunday’s red carpet Jessica Alba looked stunning in tangerine. The glamorous mother of two, a presenter at the awards ceremony, wore a gorgeous peach-colored gown by Oscar de la Renta. “The dress was the inspiration,” says makeup artist Lauren Andersen. “I loved the contrast between her glowing skin and the matte orange lip. It’s an almost tropical pop of color that’s not an exact match for the dress but close.”

Skin: Lauren prepped the skin with Hourglass No. 28 Primer Serum, and followed with Hourglass Illusion Tinted Moisturizer in Sand. She then used Hourglass Hidden Corrective Concealer in Warm under the eyes, down the bridge of the nose and fanned the product out in the center of the forehead to create dimension. She finished the skin step with the new Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Radiant Light applied all over to create a golden, subtle warmth. “It’s a soft, refined shimmer that’s glowy,” says Lauren.

Cheeks: She used the bronze shade from Hourglass Illume Crème-to-Powder Bronzer Duo in Sunset to contour the cheeks and followed with the blush shade on the apples of the cheeks.

Eyes: Hourglass Film Noir Kohl Eye Pencil in Espresso was first applied to the outer corners of the eyes and then smudged it with a brush. Lauren then applied Hourglass Superficial Waterproof Bronzer in the crease of the eyes and the gold shade from Hourglass Visionaire Eye Shadow Duo in Dune on the lids. Lashes were treated to several coats of Hourglass Film Noir Full Spectrum Mascara. She finished up by amplifying the brows with Hourglass Arch Sculpting Brow Pencil in Soft Brunette.

Lips: Finally, Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in Riviera, a vibrant tangerine shade, was applied to the lips. The velvety matte color delivers richly pigmented and long-lasting coverage for up to 14 hours.

Get the Look: Julianna Margulies at the 2013 Golden Globes.

I swear Julianna Margulies looks better every time I see her. She was flawless at the 2013 Golden Globes with hair and makeup from L'Oreal Paris. Her makeup artist was Molly Stern, with her hair styled by Sebastian Scolarici.

Makeup:

Tonight Julianna chose a Pucci lace backless gown. So we matched the drama of the dress by doing a bold lip. Her finished looks is bold, and fresh with a softly defined golden eye.

STEP-BY-STEP:

STEP 1: Molly first prepped Julianna's skin with L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Miracle Blur Finishing Cream ($24.99) to create a soft-focus finish

STEP 2: Next, she applied L’Oréal Paris Magic Lumi Primer ($12.95) and sparingly applied L’Oréal Paris Visible Lift Foundation ($14.95)

STEP 3: For cheeks and eyes, Molly added a pop of color with Laura Mercier cream blush in Sunrise ($24) & Eye Basics Base in Tawny ($24)

STEP 4: She dusted the L’Oréal Paris Color Riche Eye Shadow Quad in What Happens in Vegas ($7.95) all over the lid before adding L’Oréal Paris Infallible Shadow in Eternal Sunshine ($7.95) for an added golden sheen

STEP 5:  Molly lined Julianna’s upper and lower lash line with the hues in L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Eye Shadow Quad in Skinny Jeans ($7.95)

STEP 6:  She defined Julianna's brows using Hourglass Cosmetics’ Brow-Sculpting pencil in Soft Brunette ($32)

STEP 7:  She curled her lashes with a Shu Uemura lash curler before applying two coats of L’Oréal Paris Telescopic Shocking Extensions Mascara ($9.95)

STEP 8: Molly created Julianna’s bold pout by using L’Oréal Paris Infallible Compact Lipstick in Crimson ($11.99)

Hair:

Sebastian kept Julianna’s hair purposefully simple, sleek and elegant so as not to detract from her show-stopping dress – a gorgeous, navy Pucci with a plunging back.

STEP-BY-STEP:

STEP 1: Sebastian prepped Julianna’s hair with L’Oréal Paris’ new Advanced Haircare Smooth Intense Shampoo and Condioner ($4.99 each)

STEP 2: While hair was damp, he worked in the L’Oréal Paris Advanced Haircare Smooth Intense Frizz Taming Serum ($6.99) before blow-drying smooth

STEP 3: Once dry, Sebastian tightly  brushed Julianna’s hair back with a Mason-Pearson brush before securing with a Hair Bungee® to create a ponytail that was perfectly sleek, but had a bit of height to it

STEP 4: He finished the look by tying just a piece of patent leather around her ponytail to add just touch of glam to this simple look

STEP 5: Before Julianna hit the red carpet, he sprayed Elnett Satin Hairspray ($14.99) to lock in her look and tame any flyaways
