Golden Globes Beauty: Anne Hathaway.

Celebrity Makeup Artist Kate Lee did the glowing makeup for Anne Hathaway, who was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical nominee, Anne Hathaway.

Beauty Inspiration:
"Anne wore a nude rose sequin gown. The dress featured a strong shoulder, so I wanted to make sure the make up was approachable and feminine to allow the dress its full attention.”

"I used CHANEL Sublimage Concentrate to add an i ntense boost of hydration to the skin. Next I used Nars Oil free pro prime to help the make up to stay put. The foundation was CHANEL Vitalumiere Fluid Makeup, I love its dewy finish. I used Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting powder in Medium to pop Annie's cheekbones. On the eyes, I used CHANEL Fluid Iridescent Eyeshadow in Sand, which is like a toasty rose gold. In the socket I added depth by adding a little taupe shadow.  I curled the lashes, applied one soft coat of CHANEL Inimitable Waterproof Mascara in Noir, my go-to for all award shows! Her lips were prepped with CHANEL Hydramax + Active Lip Care, then blotted and given a coat of CHANEL Rouge Coco Lip Colour in Mademoiselle, and then topped with CHANEL Coco Shine in Bel Ami which gave the rose a violet hue. (Available in April). I tucked the lip color plus the CHANEL Natural Finish Pressed Powder compact inside her purse, and off she went!”

Adir Abergel for Frederic Fekkai created a refined but casual bohemian style for Anne.

ADIR ABERGEL’S INSPIRATION FOR ANNE HATHAWAY:
The dress was a statement on its own so Abergel wanted to create a mix between the style of curls seen in the1930’s and the 1970’s; a relaxed but fresh wave.

HOW TO GET THE LOOK:

Abergel applied Fekkai Advanced Full Blown Styling Whip and sprayed Fekkai Coiff™ Bouffant Lifting & Texturizing Spray Gel from the roots to the end of the hair.  Next, he blow dried the hair lightly with his hands, letting her natural wave surface.  With a 1” barrel, he curled the hair away from the face, placing into pin curls. Abergel let the hair cool.  As he took the pin curls out, Abergel let the hair fall naturally into place with a center but messier part to achieve the bohemian vibe. Finally, he secured the look by spraying Fekkai Coiff™ Sheer Hold Hairspray.

Get the Look: Anne Hathaway at the Love and Other Drugs Film Premiere.

Anne Hathaway was gorgeously modern at the premiere of her latest film Love and Other Drugs on Thursday, November 4th.

CHANEL Celebrity Makeup Artist Kate Lee created her makeup look, while Frederic Fekkai’s Adir Abergel did her hair.
MAKEUP:
"For the premiere of Love and Other Drugs in Los Angeles, Anne wore a creamy dress which was so amazing, it evoked images from Fellini Movies, so I decided on a modern day La Dolce Vita.

I prepped her skin with CHANEL Sublimage Concentrate, then smoothed and evened the skin tone with CHANEL Vitalumiere Fluid Makeup so as to keep the skin approachable, but peachy.  I used CHANEL Éclat Lumière in Beige Rosé to brighten under the eyes, and the brow bone. Then, on the lid I carefully
blended CHANEL Ombre D'eau Fluid Eyeshadow in Delta, taking care not to blend too far above the socket. Next, I used Laura Mercier Caviar liner to trace two perfect lines along the lash line, making them more definite towards the outer edges. I spent quite a bit of time working on Anne's brows, gently filling and fixing with Anastasia Brow Gel.

On her cheeks and across the bridge of the nose I used Nars blush In Lovejoy. Anne's lip colour was CHANEL Rouge Allure Laque in Santal which is a gorgeous shade between a peach and a salmon pink. It is purely a gloss with no shimmer. I love this colour!  Lashes were curled and given a coat of CHANEL Inimitable Waterproof Mascara in Noir, and then I applied a full set of strip lashes for a liddy effect."
HAIR:

Adir started by applying the Fekkai Full Blown Volume™ Styling Whip on wet hair.   Using a round brush, he dried the hair completely.  With a 1 ¼ inch curling iron, Adir curled the hair into barrel curls and pinned the hair leaving it to cool. Once cooled, he took out the curls and brushed hair with a flat brush.  Then, he set the hair with Fekkai Coiff Magnifique Ultra-Light Finishing Crème and secured with Fekkai Coiff™ Sheer Hold Hairspray.
