Bath & Body Works New Scent Alert: Black Amethyst.

Black Amethyst sounds simply sultry and sexy, doesn't it? I have not been to Bath & Body Works since the debut of this new signature scent, but I am really wanting to get a whiff of this.

Take a look at the notes.
Fragrance top notes: Bergamot Italian Oprur, Juicy Mandarin, Sparkling Tangerine, Zesty Orange, Waterfruits, Crisp Melon
Fragrance mid notes: Lily of the Valley, Magnolia Blossom, Sheer Gardenia, Tuberose, Freesia, Peony Petals, Camellia

  • Fragrance base notes: Patchouli, Sandalwood, Vetiver, Vanilla, Musk

  • I am so pick about scents on a whole, but when I see that Vanilla and Musk are two of the scents in the base notes, I know it is probably a winner for my nose. The other notes that have me curious are Sheer Gardenia and Tuberose.

One of the products in this new line is on my must-try list. It is the Oil to Cream Warming Body Wash. I don' know where I have been, because I have not noticed this offering before. It sounds delightful.

"Soothe while you cleanse with this luxuriously rich, warming body wash. Our nourishing oil transforms into a warm, comforting cream, for an ultra-pampering shower or bath." This sells for $12 at Bath and Body Works, and it sounds like warming nourishment for a cold winters morning.

The rest of the Black Amethyst is available now as well. It is a complete line including body lotion, wash, butter, splash, hand cream and more.

Have you tried anything from Black Amethyst yet?

Beyonce Knows a Good Thing When She Sees it.

Beyoncé reveals in the September issue of InStyle Magazine (on stands now) that Carol's Daughter is one of her skin-care obsessions! She lends her glowing skin to any and all of their moisturizers, like the Jamaican Punch and Mango Mélange Body Butters both of which are $18, at Carol'sDaughter.com.

I am a true fan of Carol's Daughter Almond Cookie Body Butter. I leave it in the refrigerator during these hot days of Summer and it totally soothes my dry, sun and chlorine wrecked skin. Other scents available include Ocean, Ecstasy, Mango Melange, Jamaican Punch, Groove, Love Butter, and the new Sweet Honey Dip...ChocolateBrownSugah. Yum, yum!

    Clarins Delicious Self Tanning Cream.

It looks a bit like whipped chocolate pudding. And even smells a bit like cocoa - probably because this self tanning cream is made with cocoa, the richest part of cocoa butter. Clarins Delicious Self Tanning Cream smells good enough to eat - but I caution you not to (eat it, that is).

I urge you to spread this luxurious cream over your body - wherever you want a deep rich, glorious golden tan. This beauty is perfect for the legs. My legs are finally looking how I like them to look faux-tanned.

This delicious cream moisturizes as it glides across your skin, while leaving it super soft. The instant color is gorgeous too, one that you can apply and then go out of the house with - after waiting about ten minutes for it to completely dry, that is. I so love the fact that I only need to re-apply this cream every week - five days if I really want to amp it up. Of course, the darker you want to go, you could apply as often as you wish - but it is not necessary. Really, this self tanner lasts, and fades very naturally. No one will ever know that you go faux!

Check this out at your Clarins counter, and stock up. I will be, as this has now moved others out of it's way to become a mainstay on my self-tanner shelf.
