Nordstrom Beauty Exclusives.

It is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and the best feature is the Beauty Exclusives, of course. I happened to stop in the Nordstrom in Palm Beach over the weekend, and let me just say, there are some beauties that are not to be missed. There was so much I wanted that I just gave in. I mean, I could not pass up some of the best beauty bargains of the year, right?

Take a look at what I bought!

CHANEL Quatuor Boutons - $65.00

This is what I went in for and it was the first beauty I spied. It was mine in an instant. The CHANEL logo is just overspray on the shadow, and it comes off after just a few swipes of the brush. If you love CHANEL and are looking for a new neutral eye palette that will be used for years, this is for you.

philosophy purity made simple - $42.40

I could not pass up this HUGE 32 oz. size of my favorite cleanser, purity. I use some of the cleanser to refill my smaller bottles with it to keep in the shower, while this large

Fashion + Google Technology = AWESEOME.

I live and breathe beauty and fashion. As a blogger, I breathe it online with Google. Imagine if Google and fashion met? Well, it has and will becoming forth with a special pilot program being called "GStyle" and led by the fabulous Tony Wang of post.fashionism.

Right now, Tony is looking for more bloggers to give a chance to play a significant role in helping Google improve with it's fashion and technology project! Tony did not disclose too many details, but enough to peek my interest. If you want to participate and get more involved with this program, simply follow @thetonywang on Twitter and send him an @reply indicating your interest in being part of the program and to get more information.

2 NEW iPhone Apps for the Beauty World.

Did you know that there are a good number of iPhone apps available for us beauty fans. Some of the more popular include an app from Beauty.com and Total Beauty Media, not to mention my shopping fave QVC, where you can order live from your phone.

Simply do a search for beauty in the app store and you will be amazed at all of the apps currently available.

Two new iPhone apps just entered the world this week, and I am using and loving them both.

  1. Coppertone MyUV Alert™ - This fun app makes sun protection easy and fun for families whether attending this year’s neighborhood 4th of July BBQ or taking that much needed beach vacation! As only 28% of people comply with the Skin Cancer Foundation’s recommendation to reapply sunscreen every two hours according to its 2008 study, this is a very handy tool.  With Coppertone’s MyUV Alert application, families can now quickly manage individualized sun protection needs and tailor reapplication alerts to each family member’s outdoor activity, helping take the guesswork out of sun protection and avoid the burn this summer.
  2. iPerfumer - From fragrance house Givaudan, iPerfumer is a mobile perfume recommendation tool and is set to revolutionise fragrance buying.  Offering individuals tailored advice on which perfumes to try, iPerfumer removes the confusion that often surrounds choosing perfume.  Revolutionary in its approach, iPerfumer is a personal fragrance consultant in your pocket.  It provides fragrance recommendations to help make informed choices, either for yourself, or when buying gifts for others.

Check them both out in the iPhone app store now and let me know what you think about them.
