You have no idea how many pretty trays, jars and drawers that I have all over my makeup counter to just keep a handle on the products I am currently using. As I change out my makeup so often (it is my job, you know), I usually wind up with much more just sitting on the counter as I simply have no where to put it. Beauty Bloggers Giving Back on this Thanksgiving Day.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Today is about giving thanks. Most of us are fortunate enough to gather around a table and share food with family and friends, while unfortunately some are not.

To help make this day a little easier, there are many things we can do to give back. I could go on and on and list all of the wonderful volunteer or giving opportunities out there, but I am going to focus today on what me and some of my beauty blogger friends have done this week.

We are all women and we all love beauty products. We blog about them and receive an extravagant amount of samples, which some inevitably go unused. Shannon, from A Girl's Gotta Spa, came up with this fantastic idea that we take these unused samples and make a special donation to a women's shelter. We all know that these shelters need every bit of help they can get. Besides the obvious of being safe, I think it is special that we can help out by making a woman that is going through one of the most difficult times of her life, a little more beautiful by making her feel extra special with some brand new beauty products.

Here is a peek at the boxes I am bringing over to Women's Shelter Against Domestic Violence over at our local YWCA tomorrow.

Now, I regularly do this one my own when I clean out my beauty closet once or twice a year. But this time it feels different. By joining in this effort, we are in a sense joining with women all over the country to help those that need it most.
