The Day in the Life of a Beauty Editor.

Being a beauty editor is hard work.

If you did not know, India-Jewel Jackson is the very talented, glamorous, and generous beauty editor for Glam.com, also writing their official beauty blog, GlamBlush.  India spends most days waking up early in her hometown of New York City, having breakfast appointments and private store tours, spa treatments, salon visits, press lunches, roundtable discussions, writing her articles, and then is off to trendy New York hot spots for dinner with fantastic beauty industry experts and publicists. India is a true pro and takes her lifestyle all in stride. And she does it with such style and grace. I am in awe.

Most of the time I am lucky enough to do my beauty writing and editing from my beauty product haven in my home office. This week, though, I spent the most outrageous 36 hours living a true New York beauty editors life.  Let's just say that my feet are sore with my mind and body exhausted. When making the rounds with India and Susan, the Glam.com Fashion Editor and blogger for GlamChic over the last day and a half, though, I have come to respect and admire not only both India and Susan, I have a new found respect for the industry as a whole.

Stay tuned for all of the juicy details on where I went, who I got to meet, what I saw and more. What a great and fun time it was. I have so much to tell you about this wonderful 36 hours that I got to share with some other beauty blogging greats. And be sure to be check out their accounts of our whirlwind days in New York:
Patrice from Afrobella, Alison from Beauty Snob, Christina from eBeautyDaily, Erin from Make Her Up, Tia from Shake Your Beauty, and Lianne from The Makeup Girl.

I need to regroup and get all the photos together and will spill all about the fun with some posts tomorrow and many more days to come. Most of all right now, I need to thank India, Susan and all the great people from Glam that made this possible! *Muah*
