What'cha Wearing?

Enquiring minds seem to always want to know what I am wearing for beauty products in any given day. I must have a few e-mails a week asking me this. I used to even have a full out feature called, What's on Your Face? when Beautiful Makeup Search was just a regular ole' online magazine (how boring - not a blog???).

So to answer this burning question, I am posting what is on my face today.

I must start out by telling you that is is cool out and very damp and rainy. I have no plans for today. My six month old baby niece is spending a few hours here (sleeping like an angel baby that she is), and the rest of my day will consist of picking up the kiddos from school, as it is raining, and dropping one off at a birthday party. I may have to run into the grocery store, and because of that, I will come in contact with those other than my family members, so makeup is on - just not so much.

My beauty routine began in the shower, where I used Philosophy's Purity Made Simple to cleanse my face. That was followed by Kiehl's Olive Fruit Oil Nourishing Shampoo & Conditioner. For my body, I choose St. Ives Mineral Therapy Body Wash.

After drying off, I slathered myself with Maybe Baby Body Lotion from Benefit. On my face, I used Philosophy's Hope in a Tube High Density Eye and Lip Cream, as well as their When Hope Is Not Enough Replenishing Cream.

My makeup started with Benefit's Boi-ing Concealer in 02, topped with Bobbi Browns Extra Tinted Moisturizing Balm in Light Tint with MAC's Studio Fix Powder in a mixture of NC20 & NC30 , for my perfect shade. I then swept Tarte's Mineral Powder Bronzer in Hotel Heiress over my cheeks and brow bones, followed by a quick swipe of Benefit's Dandelion on the tops of my cheeks and dusting over my complete eyelid. This was followed with a lash curling using Tarte's Picture Perfect Eyelash Curler  and a coat of DuWops Lash Lacquer Mascara in Carbon Black. My lips were complete with a lining with MAC's Lip Pencil in Spice and a gloss of Estee Lauders High Gloss in Honey.

After my easy, everyday makeup look was completed, I applied Frizz-Ease Corrective Styling Mousse to my hair, and scrunched it dry until I put it up in a simple ponytail - no hair spray needed!

Done!

Again, today was not a typical makeup or hair day, but an easy and decent looking one, at least.

585248-456949-thumbnail.jpgWell, they have a great post that I just had to bring you. It is all about the beautiful Beyonce, and her VMA look.

Her makeup artist, Francesca Tolot from the Cloutier Agency, recreated the look from her brand-new "Ring the Alarm" video. She started with L'Oreal True Match Foundation in Coffee over the whole face, and set it with a light dusting of La Mer Pressed Powder in Shell. She went over Beyonce's lids with MAC eyeshadow in Bisque and higlighted the browbone with L'Oreal Eyeshadow Single in Copper Penny, before lining the eyes with Nars Eye Liner in Black Moon and finishing them off with Mac Eyelashes. Her lips were colored in with L'Oreal Hip Lipcolor in Fearless and polished off with a layer of L'Oreal Colour Juice Sheer Lip Gloss in Peek-A-Boo Clear.
