COVERGIRL Must-Haves for a Flawless Winter Look.

If you've been to your favorite drugstore and browsed the beauty aisles, you've probably noticed all the new beauty launches from COVERGIRL; there are quite a few of them. You know I am a big fan of COVERGIRL, so I was super excited to see so many new makeup options and could not wait to try them and share them all with you. From a brand new mascara that delivers the most voluminous lashes to a vitamin-infused lip balm that drenches lips in moisture and color, there is a lot to like here.

First up is a newly updated makeup primer and there is so much to love about this one for anyone over 30. COVERGIRL + Olay SIMPLY AGELESS Anti-Aging Foundation Primer uses the brands technology that hydrates, plumps and fills in fine lines and wrinkles as it preps the skin for foundation and the rest of your makeup. It contains anti-aging ingredients from Olay, so you are fighting the signs of aging as you use it too — bonus. Skin is left soft and smooth, like a perfect canvas for applying makeup. It works really well with both the COVERGIRL + OLAY SIMPLY AGELESS 3-in-1 Liquid Foundation and COVERGIRL + Olay SIMPLY AGELESS Instant Wrinkle Defying Foundation which also got updates for this launch.

There are two new baked products, and if you've used baked makeup products before, you know why I was so excited about these. truBLEND Blush and truBLEND Bronzer are both marble baked formulas that blend effortless and instantly over the skin.

The blend of shades create the perfect glow not matter which shade of blush you choose and the bronzer is pretty perfect (I love using it alone to warm up my skin this winter). There are three shades of truBLEND Blush to choose from, so no one misses out: Light Rose, Medium Rose and Deep Mauve.

I've already professed my love for the COVERGIRL TruNaked Eyeshadow Palette but I will tell you about it, because it is really nice! I have the Nudes palette and it is if it were made for me. This palette has 8 silky, pigmented shadows that range from satin to shimmer in ivory and cream to deep, smoky brown shades. This palette is unexpected from COVERGIRL — they really brought it with this one. It is extremely versatile and can create an endless amount of eye looks. There are two more palettes available, Roses and Golden.

If you want to line your eyes and have it last, you need to try the new COVERGIRL truNAKED Waterproof Eyeliner Duo. These liners feature two versatile eyeliner shades in one pencil to deliver rich, blendable color. The shades are beautiful and go nicely with the palettes. Choose from Cashmere/Espresso; Vintage Rose/Ebony; Penny/Espresso; Mocha/Ebony.

The mascara you want to know about it is COVERGIRL Plumpify blast PRO Mascara. This is the brands latest mascara launch and it's a game changer! With a really odd mascara brush that works, (it is actually two mascara brushes twisted together) the brush helps to plump up the volume and lift lashes to the extreme. The brand claims up to 50X the volume and I can't say if it actually does just that, but it does give my lashes a ton of volume without weighing them down. I like that it does so while giving lashes separation and length too. I also love the little short ball tip that I can wiggle into the hard to reach places.

Finally, the vitamin-infused lip balms that I am loving this winter, COVERGIRL Colorlicious Oh Sugar! This is like a really indulgent lip treatment and another really unexpected product! Oh Sugar! lip balm is made with ultra-rich ingredients (very prestige feeling) and contains things like grapeseed oil, avocado butter and Vitamins C & E. Lips feel completely hydrated and nourished as it also leaves lips with a hint of tint. There are ten shades available: Cupcake; Candy; Caramel; Taffy; Spice; Punch; Soda; Sprinkle; Jelly; Gumdrop.

NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint SPF30.

I'm all about perfect, natural looking skin for everyday; it's a hard look to pull off. From using a ton of skincare to get that perfect canvas and glowing skin to choosing the right makeup so you don't look overly made-up, it's just not an easy task. NARS has always been at the forefront of developing skin perfecting foundation products like their full coverage foundations to their best selling lighter coverage offerings and they always get it right. They have just launched their much anticipated Velvet Matte Skin Tint and I think it's my favorite yet. This light coverage tint (I don't dare call it a foundation) perfects the skin and offers beautiful natural looking airbrushed-like coverage in a flash.

Velvet Matte Skin Tint is incredible and offers a beautiful soft-focus finish with a soft feel to it. It's an all-in-one product with good-for-you ingredients too. The formula is enriched with Vitamins C and E and SPF 30. It has Transparent Blurring Powders in the formula that instantly enhances the look of skin by helping to blur away imperfections as it evens your skin tone all while looking completely natural. There is only a hint of tint here. The coverage is never flat, or mask-like.

NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint is unlike anything I have tried before. It is so smooth while feeling like velvet out of the tube. Being in my 40's with very dry skin, I was hesitant to try a matte product, but this is not a typical matte product. This is a soft-matte and oil-free product and that's about where the matte ends. The finish is absolutely beautiful as I have not experienced any settling into my lines.  I tried applying with a brush, beautyblender and my fingers and I have found that it really looks best and applies really well with just my fingertips. The look is completely natural with a soft focus; it simply looks like perfect skin when wearing. The coverage is very light, like a tint, but more than average. You can add a bit more to build up a little if you need to blend out flaws, but you are not going to completely cover anything. For an everyday, natural look, Velvet Matte Skin Tint is my new go-to.

There are 12 shades in the Velvet Matte Skin Tint line-up, which range from the lightest in Terre-Neuve to the very dark in Polynesia. I'm at the light end of medium with St. Mortiz, and that is the same shade that I use in NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer.

So many new beauty products, so little time!

I seriously feel that way sometimes, especially when browsing the drugstore beauty aisles. There are just so many beauty products stuffed onto those shelves, especially right now with all of the new launches. I have been playing with a lot of the new products and there are definitely some can't-live-without products in there. Out of all that I've tried, these are the top 10 drugstore beauty products that I think you need to try now.

1. CeraVe Makeup Removing Cleanser Cloths - I was so excited to see these. I like the CeraVe Cleanser, especially in the winter months. These cleansing cloths takes that cleanser and embeds it into some really large (larger than normal) towelettes. One pre-moistened towelette really removes all dirt, makeup and oil from the skin while keeping face feeling soft and not stripped. I love how thick and big these cloths are. They are my new favorite.

2. COVERGIRL Plumpify Mascara - I talked about this mascara last week and I'm quite obsessed. The helix wand serious coats my lashes as it plumps up the volume and lifts them to the extreme. Everyone thinks I'm wearing extensions when I use Plumpify.

3. Burt's Bees Lipstick - I was surprised to see this but needed to give it a try with my chapped lips. Made with 100% moisturizing ingredients and vibrant color, you'll be just as impressed as I am. There are 14 shades to choose from. My favorites include Tulip Tide and Nile Nude.

4. Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water - I became obsessed with Micellar Cleansing Waters in the past year so I was thrilled to discover this recent entry from Garnier. If you haven't tried a Micellar Cleansing Water, you need to. Micellar Cleansing Water are actually tiny little cleansing molecules suspended into water. It's super unique and once you try it, you won't want to cleanse any other way. You saturate a pad with the Micellar water and wipe it over your skin until clean. There is no rinsing involved. This one works really good on eye makeup and comes in a larger bottle than the others I tried.

5. Skin+Pharmacy Advanced Anti-Aging Therapy Restoring Retinol Treatment Wipes - These wipes are a really unique way to treat skin with Retinol and these wipes have .15% Retinol AND Hyaluronic Acid in it, so skin becomes brighter as fine lines and wrinkles are lessened. I like how easy these wipes are to use and they only need to be used 2 - 3 times a week to be effective.

6. NIP + FAB Kale Fix Clay Mask - I'm always looking for extra hydration and I found it with this supercharged nourishing clay mask. Not only does this mask hydrate my skin, it draws out impurities as it locks in the moisture. After just 10 minutes, my skin is restored and super soft and smooth.

7. Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor - Matte lipcolor definitely has its place when looking for rich, true, long-lasting color. And that's exactly what you get with this new winner from Revlon. I love how velvety smooth lips feel while wearing this and the colors are simply gorgeous. There are 8 shades to choose from with my favorites being HD Addiction, HD Flirtation and HD Seduction.

8. method Foaming Body Wash - One of my favorite hand soaps now comes in a giant Foaming Body Wash. On first glance, I thought it was a super-sized hand soap, but I knew I had to have it when I saw it was a body wash, especially when I saw the nourishing scents. Nourishing? Yes! These body washes actually contain naturally derived moisturizers that leave skin hydrated after showering. My favorite is Cucumber Mint for a little pick-me-up in the morning.

9. Bioré Baking Soda Pore Cleanser - If there is one thing I hear complaints about in my house full of teenagers and young adults, it is breakouts and pore size. This Pore Cleanser is all but made for my kids! Made with baking soda to naturally to penetrate pores and gently exfoliate them, skin is left looking and feeling smooth and glowing. My children have been tested and love this; it's in all of their showers.

10. CeraVe Healing Ointment - We are at the time of year when our skin is at it's most dry and rough. This skin protectant will protect and soothe that dry skin whether it is just overly dry, cracked or even chafed. This ointment is especially good for hands and feet where you can cover with cotton gloves or socks before going to bed and leave on overnight.
