Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Summer Glow Makeup Collection 2016.

I am dreaming of summer and there is nothing better to get me in the mood than this years Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Summer Glow makeup collection. All of the products have one central theme: bronzing. With products for the eyes, lips and cheeks, skin with be glowing with a touch of sun that will last the season and beyond. I'm obsessed!

Bronze Goddess Summer Glow is perfect for your summer makeup bag and essential for travel! The collection includes two new palettes (one for eyes and one for cheeks), a new innovative multi-tasking lip and cheek color stick, a liquid illuminator and of course, the brands cult favorite bronzers.

The highlight of the collection for me is the stunning Summer Glow Multi-Palette. This is a trio face palette that contains a soft shimmering bronzer, illuminator and blush for a gorgeous, natural summer glow. I love the geometric inspired design of the powder itself — so gorgeous — but the powders hold a secret. The powders were created with a special Prisma Technology which is a "tribrid" of liquid, powder and gel which feels incredible on the skin. It applies with a super smooth finish (like a creamy gel in powder form) with true color. The shades will really enhance a tan.

To get that beautiful tan, there are a few easy ways to create a faux tan with self-tanner (obviously), by using a bronzer like one of the Bronze Goddess Powder Bronzers in this collection or my favorite way with a gel bronzer like the Gelee Bronzer. This gel bronzer is very easy to use and wear; it feels like nothing on the skin yet it makes skin look naturally sun kissed. I apply a thin veil of the gel bronzer over my tinted moisturizer to give skin an all-over bronzed look. It is very natural looking and gives my skin the perfect looking faux glow. It lasts longer and looks more natural than a powder bronzer ever does.

To further accent a tan, I always go with gold and that's why I think the Lip and Cheek Summer Glow in Sunburst is a must have. This 3-in-1 color stick has a soft gold lip and cheek color on one end and sparkly gold gloss on the other. It's not only a great accent shade, the stick is perfectly portable and amazing for travel. While you can usually find me shopping the beauty pages and aisles of stores like Nordstrom, Sephora or CVS, I do like discovering new boutique stores and brands and sharing them with you. I get especially excited when a newly discovered brand leads me to find the best gel eyeliner that I think I have ever used. The new discovery? Eve by Eve's.

Eve by Eve's is located in the heart of Beverly Hills but offers its high quality products directly through their website where they have great new offers every week. I've fallen for quite a few of their beauty products fast! Produced in small quantities to preserve their quality, all of the products are made with natural ingredients from the optimal locations. The brand uses ingredients such as water essence from Switzerland, algae from the coastal region of France, and pigments from Italy to name a few. I may be just a bit addicted to the lavender essential extracts from Japan that is infused in the Hydrating Cleansing Oil (more on that below).

So, I teased that I discovered the best gel eyeliner that I have ever tried and that would be Eve by Eve's Conditioning Smudgeproof Gel Eyeliner. This eyeliner is so creamy smooth and applies easily with the #15 Eyeliner Brush, which makes application flawless. Once applied, the formula sets and becomes smudge and waterproof so it lasts and looks perfect all day long. I tested the black shade which looks better than your average black gel liner — I can't put my finger on it; it just doesn't seem to lay flat. It may be because this gel eyeliner is formulated with hydrating and brightening ingredients, which is always a plus, but it is just a brighter, more perfect black. It makes for the best winged eyeliner.

Another great discovery is the Eve by Eve's Drama Luxe Gel Mascara. This duo-ended mascara is a fiber gel mascara with one side being a base primer and the other end being a really luxurious conditioning mascara that builds a ton of lash length. I find that applying a base primer coat versus multiple coats or mascara cuts down on the chance of clumps and helps build additional volume too. The Drama Luxe Gel Mascara left my lashes super long with a lot of volume. My lashes never smudged and the formula never flaked and my lashes looked better than ever all day long.

With spring having a major focus on the lips, I have been layering my lip products, and I discovered some really nice lip products too. The colors are all so beautiful! I always start with a lip liner and I was happy to discover Eve by Eve's Lip Definer in Rose. This is a conditioning lip definer that applies easily and fills in lips with its creamy texture. On top of that, I have been using Eve by Eve's Drama Luxe Lip Color in Luscious Rouge. This beautiful orange-red lipcolor comes in a super slim case (this style makes it super portable!) and offers long-lasting, vibrant creamy-matte color. I like layering this shade over the rose lip definer for a pretty spring shade. I top it off with Eve by Eve's Drama Luxe Lip Luster in Orange Blossom. This is a volumizing and hydrating lipgloss with a bit of sparkle to it. If you read me regularly, you know how much I love lipgloss and this a really good one. It is very well pigmented, super glossy and lasts a lot longer than most glosses.

Makeup primers are essential when it comes to makeup. This primer creates a smooth and even surface that invisibly locks foundation and the rest of your makeup into place seamlessly and beautifully. It somehow and amazingly makes any foundation look and remain color-true all day. Buy it for $36 from Nordstrom or Sephora.

3. Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer - This primer is a very luxurious primer that outperforms any other primer by far. I reserve this one for longer days, special occasions or photography because it is expensive and a little heavier on the skin BUT it does something to makeup that no other primer can do. This primer creates a uniform and smooth surface, but it also somehow makes your makeup water resistant and looking fresh, as in just applied all day long. If it was just a bit lighter on my skin AND wallet (like the others I have listed here) I would certainly wear it every day. Buy it for $52 at Sephora.

4. COVERGIRL Outlast All-Day Primer - This primer is extremely similar to Laura Mercier Foundation Primer. So similar in fact, that if I were blind tested, I don't think that I would be able to tell the two apart. This primer creates a very smooth surface where it fills in pores, fine lines and wrinkles and locks in foundation and makeup for the day. It truly helps makeup outlast your day. It's the easiest on your pocketbook too. Buy it for about $10 at your favorite drugstore or mass retailers like Target.

5. Smashbox Photo Finish Hydrating Foundation Primer - When my skin is really dry, I turn to this primer because it really is hydrating while having some of the famous capabilities that Smashbox is famous for. It is not so silicone heavy so it's no irritating like a lot of the other Photo Finish primers. This one simply fills in pores and lines while quenching the skin with a burst of moisture which is great for dry skin. It is refreshing on the skin. Buy it for $42 from Sephora, Nordstrom or Macy's.

LIPS

6. MAC Prep + Prime Lip - This lip balm-like lip primer creates a silky smooth base that locks in lip color and ensures lip colors look better without creasing or fading throughout the day. Buy it for $16.50 at maccosmetics.com, Macy's or Nordstrom.

7. NYX Cosmetics Lip Primer - This is a nude colored lip crayon that helps to create the perfect canvas for lipstick or other lip products. It helps to ensure that lip products last longer and adhere better to the lips. Buy it for $6.99 at Ulta.
