I always look forward to the big award shows and the red carpet arrivals. I often wonder if celebrities spend days preparing for big events like I do. I have many red carpet events coming up this spring (weddings, a black tie function, etc.), and I need to get started on my prep now. It takes planning, time and work to look my best.

Liquid lip colors are all the rage right now. When it comes to liquid lip colors, it seems that everyone wants a matte lip color — it's the most popular finish. I am incredibly picky when it comes to any type of matte lip color so when I heard that MAKE UP FOR EVER was releasing this new Artist Liquid Matte Lipstick, my ears perked up. I was lucky enough to give this new matte liquid lip color a try, and I'm happy to say that I am impressed.

Today is National Lash Day. Did you even know that such a day existed? Well, of course, this beauty girl does! Every February 19th is National Lash Day. With days dedicated to celebrating such trivial things such as ice cream, socks and opposites, I'm thrilled that there are days dedicated to makeup and beauty like lipstick and lashes.
