Eva Mendes - Beautiful, but Blue!

In this weeks Life & Style Magazine, the Style Insider brings us the beautiful Eva Mendes and her daring new trend: sporting blue nails!

The article features three great pictures of the beauty sporting very dark blue nail polish on three different occassions.

The magazines pick for deep, rich blue nail polishes include:

Revlon Dark Pleasures in Midnight Affair
China Glaze Nail Lacquer in Up All Night
Napoleon Perdis Chandelier Shine Nail Polish in Poolside

Honestly, I do not know how much I like this trend. You know, blue cannot look good on just anyone. I liked the light blue nail polish I wore on my toes years back, but I think I may just skip this one.

What do you think? Dark blue polish for your nails? Yes or No.

Essie's '07 Spring Collection.

Oooh, How I love Essie.  This has got to be one of the best collections Essie has put out yet. There is not a single color I would not use.

essie_spring.jpgThe best way to get all of the great shades (at a small discount to boot) is in the Spring '07 Colours To Go .

The shades in the collection, which are naturally included in this set: Cool-lots, Guchi Muchi Puchi, Jackie Oh My, Mini How High, Mod Squad and Pinkadelic.

And you know what I love even more - is that Essie has done a major website over haul, and there is an online boutique to shop right then and there for your favorite Essie products.

Paint Yourself Pink!

Pink makeup = romantic makeup. And wouldn't it be nice to wear your romatic makeup on Valentines Day?

I am lucky to be fair skinned in which most pinks look nice on me. I prefer the soft pastel pinks, but I like just about any type of pink makeup. If you are not that into Pinks, take a few of my suggestions, and I bet I change your mind.

piink_lipgloss.jpgSephora has a cute line of products, entitled appropriately enough, Piink. And like they say, "The best things in life are pink". I love this lip gloss crayon ($5) in the line, especially in Milky Rose - the most beautiful shade of rose petal pink. It's ease of use in that is glides on like a lipstick out of it's chubby stick but it looks sheer and glossy and low price tag are a huge plus! I also like to use their My Miistic Shadow ($9) in Tender Pink, which is a loose powder eyeshadow in pink with a hint of gold. It is in the cutest container that you dip the sponge tipped applicator into to get to the shadow.

For blushing in pink, I have a few favorites.
