Time for Awareness.

Elemis - famous for it's wonderful spas, has launched a new 2 step kit for BCA - Time for Awareness.

bca_elemis.jpgThe collection contains the exclusive ‘boob tube’: a fabulous, fuchsia tube of Pro-Collagen Lifting Treatment Neck & Bust and their popular Pro-Collagen Marine Cream.

What makes this kit so unique is that it actually promotes the practice of self breast examinations further creating awareness and protection through early detection from this dangerous form of cancer. The Pro-Collagen Lifting Treatment Neck & Bust forces users to give themselves a self breast exam since the application must be completed in a figure 8 motion. How great is that?

Time for Awareness ($89) is available at select Nordstrom Stores and wherever their spa products are sold.

What'cha Wearing?

Enquiring minds seem to always want to know what I am wearing for beauty products in any given day. I must have a few e-mails a week asking me this. I used to even have a full out feature called, What's on Your Face? when Beautiful Makeup Search was just a regular ole' online magazine (how boring - not a blog???).

So to answer this burning question, I am posting what is on my face today.

I must start out by telling you that is is cool out and very damp and rainy. I have no plans for today. My six month old baby niece is spending a few hours here (sleeping like an angel baby that she is), and the rest of my day will consist of picking up the kiddos from school, as it is raining, and dropping one off at a birthday party. I may have to run into the grocery store, and because of that, I will come in contact with those other than my family members, so makeup is on - just not so much.

My beauty routine began in the shower, where I used Philosophy's Purity Made Simple to cleanse my face. That was followed by Kiehl's Olive Fruit Oil Nourishing Shampoo & Conditioner. For my body, I choose St. Ives Mineral Therapy Body Wash.

After drying off, I slathered myself with Maybe Baby Body Lotion from Benefit. On my face, I used Philosophy's Hope in a Tube High Density Eye and Lip Cream, as well as their When Hope Is Not Enough Replenishing Cream.

My makeup started with Benefit's Boi-ing Concealer in 02, topped with Bobbi Browns Extra Tinted Moisturizing Balm in Light Tint with MAC's Studio Fix Powder in a mixture of NC20 & NC30 , for my perfect shade. I then swept Tarte's Mineral Powder Bronzer in Hotel Heiress over my cheeks and brow bones, followed by a quick swipe of Benefit's Dandelion on the tops of my cheeks and dusting over my complete eyelid. This was followed with a lash curling using Tarte's Picture Perfect Eyelash Curler  and a coat of DuWops Lash Lacquer Mascara in Carbon Black. My lips were complete with a lining with MAC's Lip Pencil in Spice and a gloss of Estee Lauders High Gloss in Honey.

After my easy, everyday makeup look was completed, I applied Frizz-Ease Corrective Styling Mousse to my hair, and scrunched it dry until I put it up in a simple ponytail - no hair spray needed!

Done!

Again, today was not a typical makeup or hair day, but an easy and decent looking one, at least.

Pure Bliss & A Free Hand Cream.

One of my favorite lines I discovered this year is Bliss Labs. I am constantly browsing for great sets that I will sure to be stocking up on to give as presents this holiday season.

While doing so, I came across a great offer from Beauty.com.

With any purchase at Beauty.com, you will receive a FREE Bliss Labs High Intensity Hand Cream. I can't think of anything better than a freebie! And a great one at that.

High Intensity Hand Cream is one of my staples in the winter. I have a tube in my handbag, and another in my night stand (with about 15 others that I alternate with at night). You need a bit more than the "pea sized amount" that they suggest you use in the directions. I squeeze out a dollop about the size of a quarter, and that is all I need for my hands and wrists. The cream is more on the thick side, but not greasy whatsoever. And it sinks into my skin almost immediately. The fact that there is no scent in it is a big plus for me too, as I do need to apply it 3 - 4 times a day in the drier months.

Bottom line, if you need anything beauty related, order now and get your  fabulous freebie - and I bet you'll have this hand cream as one of your staples too.
