As I told you yesterday, part of the new MAC Collection Colour Ready are these three new products that are now a permanent part of their Prep + Prime Collection. Seriously, these are the star products of the line up and I cannot get enough of them.

Exuviance Rejuvenating Treatment Masque.

Remember how I told you over the weekend that I needed a little refresher in the makeup department for Spring? Well, it all starts with a brighter face first.

To help get my skin brighter (and tighter), I have been depending on this great pick me up from Exuviance. It is their Rejuvenating Treatment Masque.

First, in case you have not heard of the brand Exuviance, let me take a quick minute to explain more about the company.

Exuviance is just one of the lines that comes out of the NeoStrata company. NeoStrata is a pioneer in developing the use of AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Acids) in the use of skin care. NeoStrata continues to advance the field with scientific innovations such as polyhydroxy acids (PHAs) and lactobionic acids. With PHAs and bionics, NeoStrata has reinvented skin care with all-natural compounds that are just as effective as AHAs, but do not cause irritation, even in those with sensitive skin. They continually further their research to include many different brands with effective products.

The Exuviance line of products is formulated with alpha hydroxyacids (AHAs), polyhydroxy acids (PHAs) and polyhydroxy bionic acids. Products in this line are expertly formulated to visibly smooth and soften skin, diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, increase skin hydration and suppleness, and brighten and balance skin tone.

I have used a few of the Exuviance products in the past and knew that this Replensinishing Treatment Masque could have not come at a better time.

This is a green, gooey-like gelled mask that I spread over my face and neck once a week. It feels instantly cool and almost relieving like. (I cannot wait to use this in the heat, just for the cooling effect alone.) I let the mask dry for about 30 minutes before peeling then rinsing off. The direction do say that it should be left on to dry for 15 - 20 minutes, but I have found it to be completely dry around the 30 minute mark, like I suggested.

The mask peels off pretty easily, just be careful you didn't get any too close to your hairline or you could inadvertently pull out a few hairs when removing - and let me just say "ouch". (I am obviously not that careful.) Skin is left feeling fresh, more toned and tight. It looks more alive.

According to Exuviance, my skin will reap many rewards when using the Rejuvenating Treatment Masque:

  • Glycolic Acid, Mandelic Acid, and Gluconolactone (a PHA) help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
