AmorePacific Moisture Bound Tinted Moisturizer.

Do you lighten up your makeup routine in the warm weather months? I do. I know I have mentioned it before and how I need to move from a full on foundation makeup to using a tinted moisturizer for the summer. Often though, I still find that I need to layer on the Tinted Moisturizer over my regular daily moisturizer. This is not the point, right? I have found a few Tinted Moisturizers that can stand alone and hold up to my skins' hydration needs. Though, I do not think any have worked quite as well as this new one from AmorePacific has done.

You see, AmorePacific is first and foremost a skin care company. Being so, I would say this Moisture Bound Tinted Moisturizer is more of a light-weight but heavy hydrating moisturizer, with a tint to it. Just what I have been looking for.

The formula is unique, yes. It hydrates the skin, protects it from the sun with an SPF of 15, it improves the health of skin, and it also provides a beautiful sheer color to the skin - in an instant. It is oil-free and contains moisture-rich bamboo sap along with 6 year old Korean Red Ginseng that work hard to make skin look as fabulous as it can beneath the tint.

There are just four shades to select from, and my pale yet faux-tanned skin has been using Deep, believe it or not. I err to say that all of the colors apply much lighter than they appear to be. When ordering, I suggest ordering a shade darker than you think you need.

I really think that once you try Moisture Bound Tinted Moisturizer, it will change the way you feel about the ordinary run of Tinted Moisturizers on the market today. This is available right now only at Neiman Marcus for $70. It is pricey, but well worth it for very dry and thirsty skin.

The Latest from La Mer: The Treatment Powder Foundation.

I used to love powder foundations, which some considered odd given the fact that I have very dry skin. For some reason, the finish was always pretty much flawless on me. As I get older, I am finding fewer powder foundations that look even somewhat decent on my skin. When I heard that La Mer was introducing a Powder Foundation to their skincolor line up, my ears perked up. The Treatment Powder Foundation has been just what I have been searching for.

Gemstones capture light energy to create a translucent color palette, optically erasing imperfections to reveal a naturally flawless complexion.  An exclusive Radiant Ferment works continuously to add visible clarity and brightness, revealing a more luminous appearance.

For a sheer, everyday makeup look, I have been applying the powder with the velvety sponge that came with the compact. When opting for more coverage and a full-on glam look, I have been applying the powder over my La Mer Fluid Foundation. The result is flawless.

The Treatment Powder Foundation also has a naturally built in SPF of 15, which is essential, and is yet another reason to not balk at the price tag of $95. It s La Mer, after all.

There is a pretty nice range of shades, 8 to be specific, to select from as well. I have been using Ivory, and will probably move up to the Creme shade during the summer to use over my self-tanner.

Say Hello to Flawless Skin.

Hello Flawless! is the brand new custom powder cover-up with SPF 15 from Benefit Cosmetics.

This powder in a box (which Benefit always does best) is great for the entire face or just spot coverage. Now, girls of my age really need to start pulling away from the powder foundations, which is hard to do. But I am doing it slowly but surely, so I must admit that I did not try Hello Flawless! on me. But my teenaged daughter has been using it and is in love with this powder.

Caci says that the texture of this powder is amazing. She loves how she can easily customize the degree of coverage by either using the sponge or brush provided. I watch her use the brush to apply most often, which simply evens out her skin tone and makes it look flawless. Not heavily made up a all. She is getting good at patting around her nose and under her eyes with the sponge too, for when she needs a bit more coverage.

Hello Flawless sports an built in SPF of 15, whish is absolutely essential, and this beauty powder is available in 6 easy to match shades. You won't find Hello Flawless at the Benefit counter until sometime in April, but it is available right now online at Benefit Cosmetics.
