QVC Today's Special Value: Bare Escentuals Purist 9-pc Grand Collection.

Tuned into QVC early this morning, I discovered the Today's Special Value today is from Bare Escentuals. This is a 9 piece set called the Purist 9-pc Grand Collection. And it comes with a lovely train case too.

The retail value is $226.00 and the Today's Special Value price is $96.72 + $6.97 s&h, which they are also offering in four easy payments. They are also offering an auto-delivery option.

Now, I don't think this kit is for those who want to discover Bare Escentuals, as these seem to be more of their best selling products, or customer favorites if you will. Though they say NEW, I believe these products are just new shades of a popular product. For that, this is a great deal.

What do you think? BE fans, did you purchase?

Sweet Decadence Eye Colors from Bare Escentuals.

I am finally getting a bit more acquainted with the loose eye colors from Bare Escentuals. And what a set to get to better know the brand and their eye colors. This Sweet Decadence set contains four creamy eye colors in beautiful coordinating shades.

These softly, yet a bit shimmery eye colors really do glide on like silk. Only a tiny bit is needed on the brush, then you tap the brush into the lid and sweep. The color deposits so evenly too, without much blending even needed.

In the cute box (perfect for gift giving) box you get the four following shades: Red Velvet Cake (polished ruby), Dulce de Leche (pink beige), Chocolate Fondue (dark chocolate bark), and Tiramisu (shimmering taupe). The wonderful brush is inlcuded as well.

You will find Sweet Decadence at Nordstrom and Nordstrom.com for $28.00.

UPDATE: Bare Escentuals at Target is Illegal Diversion.

I have gotten a few e-mails since I posted yesterday about spotting Bare Escentuals at Target. One of the e-mails I received was from one of Bare Escentual's PR reps, and Bare Escentuals is saying that this is definitely some sort of illegal diversion.

Illegal diversion is when someone who is legally able to sell a product, like a distributor, unknowingly (or perhaps, knowingly) sells said product to a consolidator or retailer in which they do not have a legal contract to do so. It is like a black market product being right there on the shelves of our favorite retailers, such as Target or supermarkets and drugstores. When you see a professional hair care product on your supermarket shelf, you can pretty much know that it has been illegally diverted.

This is what is happening with Bare Escentuals. They do not know how the product was distributed to Target, but they were alerted to them selling it last Fall. They were also alerted to the fact that Bare Escentuals was being sold discounted at Costco as well. The Bare Escentuals legal team is looking into it.

Supporting the sales of Bare Escentuals at Target is just one way to make this ongoing problem grow.
