I bet you didn't know these very scary statistics: Skin cancer is the most common of all cancers. More than two million people are diagnosed with skin cancer each year. Melanoma, the most serious type of skin cancer, will account for more than 75,000 cases of skin cancer in 2012. This fact really jolted me: 1 person dies of melanoma every hour in the United States. The incidence of melanoma, the most dangerous form, continues to rise in most age groups in the U.S..

Looking at my beautiful (yet wilting) hydrangea plant, I wondered how to bring such a perfect shade of purple into my beauty regimen. I can not wear purple on my lips or eyes. It has always been a problem for me. Not such an obvious choice at first, but once I thought of it, my nails is the perfect place to bring out this pretty shade.
