L’Oréal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Makeup.

L’Oréal Paris has just extended the range of their cult-favorite True Match Super-Blendable Makeup to 33 shades! Yes, there is truly a perfect shade for all women.

L’Oréal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Makeup

The foundation line now represents the universe of skin color and are guaranteed to match 100% of all skin tones. Finally, a brand that gets it. As none of us come in the same shape or size, none of us have nearly the same complexion. Start looking within your color family, Warm, Cool, or Neutral and then look for your perfect shade. The best thing is, if you don't find your perfect shade the first time, just return the shade and go up or down a shade until you find your true match.

True Match Super-Blendable Makeup has come just in time for me, as my glow is fading and I have stopped self-tanning. I need a makeup for in between seasons and this one is perfect. As the name suggests, it is super-blendable.  I like to apply it with a damp Beautyblender sponge, but is also easy to apply using fingers by pressing it into the skin, starting form the middle of the face and blending out. The foundation blends seamlessly, as it mimics that of my skin and lasts all day when layered over one of my favorite makeup primers.

NARS Eyeliner Stylo.

If there were any time that bold, defined eyes were in, it is now. With strong colors, cat eyeliner and defined lines taking center stage, NARS new Eyeliner Stylo is one eyeliner you want in your makeup bag.

The Eyeliner Stylo is a liquid liner in a thin, felt tip marker like pen. It lines and defines with precision, in one smoothe stroke. The formula is pigment based, so the color is always even. It really is one of the easiest liquid liners I have ever used. The liner is very long-lasting too, but simply removes with cleanser.

Your fall eye will be accented, easily, in one of the four shades:

  • Carpates - Black
  • Nuku Hiva - Brown
  • Atlantic - Navy
  • Koala - Grey

Look for the Eyeliner Stylo now at narscosmetics.com and Sephora. Each liner sells for $27.00.

Fall 2012: Maybelline Scene on the Runway Color Tattoo Shadows.

In case you haven't heard, it is currently Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York City. Maybelline New York is the official sponsor of the show. Have you seen any of the Maybelline end caps at the drugstore? They feature some great limited edition Scene on the Runway fall products. They are certainly eye catching. As I have read so much about the Color Tattoo Shadows and never having tried them, I knew I had to try these and now. The colors are gorgeous! Of course, I had to have all four shades.

The shades:

Barely Beige
Gold Shimmer
Mossy Green
Rich Mahogany

I like the formula and how pigmented the shadows are.  You only need a small amount of product for the color pay-off I demand.  To get the ultimate wear, make sure to use an eyeshadow primer.

In addition to the new shadows, Maybelline launched the perfect brush for applying the cream gel shadows.

It is a dense, stiff, flat brush that helps apply the shadows with ease. I dab the color on the lid with this new brush, then blend with a fluffier brush after the formula has set for a few seconds. To clean the brush in between colors, just swipe it on a tissue.

Look for the special displays at your favorite drugstores now. I had a hard time finding all four colors in stock at one location. I actually purchased one at CVS, one at Rite Aid, and two at Walgreens. I didn't find any of the special displays with the new fall products in either Target that I checked. I paid $6.99 for each shadow at Walgreens and Rite Aid, and $7.39 each at CVS. I did score $3.00 in CVS Extra Bucks for a $10 Maybelline purchase at CVS too, because of course I purchased a few more goodies.
