Laura Mercier Summer Nudes Lip Glacés.

Laura Mercier went nude this summer with her new Summer Nudes collection. It is a beautiful and refreshing change from many of the seasons brights. As a more natural looking makeup girl myself, this really works for me.

Laura Mercier's Summer Nudes collection pairs chic neutral shades for both the lips and nails. The collection features a variety of nude Lip Glacés and Nail Lacquers on trend for the season, offering high-shine colour with a flawless finish. Of course, I am smitten with the Lip Glacés.

The non-sticky formula of the Lip Lip Glacé provides long-lasting colour and a beautiful glossy shine. It applies evenly without feathering or bleeding. The formula actually nourishes and protects the lips. I love the creamy vanilla flavor. It' subtle, but there and yummy.

The Summer Nudes Lip Lip Glacé shades:

  • Pout
  • Pink Diamond
  • Bare Baby
  • Bare Blush
  • Bare Beige
  • Quartz

I have Bare Beige and Bare Blush (pictured below). Bare Beige actually looks a bit bronze in the tube, but it is really a beige shade on the lips, with just a slight amount of shimmer to it. It is one of those shimmers only seen if the light hits it right. Bare Blush is a perfect nude shade, but on the mauve side of nude. It looks very natural and beautiful on my lips. I plan to pick up Pink Diamond too.

Caress Tempting Whisper Fine Fragrance Elixir Body Wash.

Mmmm... soft floral scents are perfect for the summer. You know I am not a fan of fragrance, but I do like using fragrant body washes for a slight scent. The Caress Fine Fragrance Elixir Body Washes are actually inspired by fine fragrances and are created with the fragrance house of Givaudan. The newest in the line up of these fine fragranced body washes is called Tempting Whisper.

Tempting Whisper features the sophisticated floral notes of white peony (one of my favorite flowers) enhanced with fruity notes of red plum. Mix in tuberose and ylang, plus a bit on tonga bean and musk, and you get an unexpectedly pretty scent in the shower. It is perfect for summer.

Shop for Tempting Whisper along with the other Caress Elixir Body Washes at your favorite drugstore or mass retailer now. Prices range from $3.50 - $3.99 depending on size.

Introducing DiscoverBeauty.

You know how much I love beauty products and sharing my new finds with you, that’s why I couldn’t wait to tell you about a nice site I discovered called DiscoverBeauty.

DiscoverBeauty.com is a one-stop, online source for all the latest in beauty and cosmetic industry news and tips. The site features current articles by physicians, and you can even purchase high-quality skincare products that you’d typically only find in your doctor’s office – right from the site!

Something that’s totally new – and unique to this site – is DiscoverBeauty’s easy-to-use BeautyCanvas tool. It’s the same facial and full-body photo morphing technology that many doctors use in their offices to simulate desired results during an initial consultation. Upload, tweak and share personal “before and after” photos directly with any number of doctors you select from the Doctor Directory right on the site.  You can even do this from the comfort (and privacy) of your own home. And as a next step, you can share your photos with friends and family to get their opinions on your new look. Being able to visualize the end result of a procedure helps you communicate your preferences and achieve the best possible outcome.

For those of you who just don’t know where to find a cosmetic specialist, DiscoverBeauty’s Doctor Directory (with more than 600 physicians) provides a quick and easy way to find board-certified doctors in your area – one you’re both confident in and comfortable with.

While the site and the BeautyCanvas are accessible to anyone, DiscoverBeauty is currently limited to Boston area doctors. There are plans to expand to other regions coming later this year.
