Apple Pie Protein Smoothie
/Who says you can’t have the taste of sweet apple pie without cheating?
I just love a fresh apple in the fall. Better than that is a fresh apple baking in a pie bursting with warm cinnamon on a cool evening…yum!
What I don’t love is all my hard work at the gym wasting away in one plate of pie.
I may be exaggerating just a bit, because I’ve found a few clean apple pie recipes that sound pretty good. But I do satisfy a lot of cravings with this filling apple pie protein smoothie.
Ingredients
1 scoop TLS Nutrition Shake Creamy Vanilla
1 cup water
1/2 sliced apple (I leave the peel on)
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 cup ice or approximately 10 - 12 cubes
Instructions
Add all ingredients into Nutribullet/Vitamix/Blender and blend until smooth. Sprinkle cinnamon (to taste) on top. Enjoy!
Note: This recipe can be made with 2 scoops of protein powder, but I find it too sweet, thick and overly filling. If you want to make it with 2 scoops, double the water and share it with a friend.
