Cancer Causing Chemicals in Cosmetics.

Have you heard of the Environmental Working Group? They are a non-profit organization that research products that may threaten our health and the environment.

They recently found that a certain cancer-causing chemical 1,4-dioxane, is used by many companies in many cosmetic products. You will notice this chemical by other names, such as dioxane, diethylene dioxide, 1,4-diethylene dioxide, diethylene ether, glycol ethylene ether, dioxane-1,4, tetrahydro-p-dioxin, tetrahydro-1,4-dioxin.

The description of 1,4-dioxane from Wikipedia: 1,4-Dioxane is primarily used in solvent applications for the manufacturing sector; however, it is also found in fumigants and automotive coolant. Bryant Park Inspired!

bondno9_bryantpark.jpgSo, you may not be able to physically get to New York's famed Bryant Park (the setting of the twice yearly Fashion Week), but you can smell like it with the newest addition from Bond No.9.

Bond No.9 has created this scent, Bryant Park, inspired by the events at the tents. All of Bonds scents are inspired by New York City neighborhoods, and I feel this was a great choice. And the bottle with it's painted mod theme is bright and beautiful, just like Bryant Park in full bloom.

It smells a bit spicy, but feminine at the same time.

Here are the notes:
Lily of the Valley
Rhubarb
Pink Pepper
Rose
Patchouli
Raspberry
