Earth Day Beauty.

Happy Earth Day! A day to celebrate the Earth, the environment and what nature brings us.

Beauty companies have gotten involved in Earth Day recently. Many brands are creating special products just for the day or are offering a percentage of sales to certain environmental campaigns. Here are a few that have caught my eye.

Pure & Natural understands that our everyday choices have a direct impact on our future, which is why they’ve partnered with the World Wildlife Fund to make an annual donation of at least $100,000.

Pure & Natural’s eco-friendly Body Wash, Liquid Hand Soaps and Bars are hypoallergenic, biodegradable and paraben free.  None of these products are tested on animals and each are sold in a new package that’s 100% recyclable so you can feel good about what’s in your shower.  These newly packaged Pure & Natural products are available now at food, drug and mass retailers nationwide between $4.49 - $6.49.

Kiehl’s latest environmental initiative is a Limited Edition Label Art Series to honor Earth Day and raise funds for environmental causes. Kiehl’s collaborated with actress Julianne Moore, musician Pharrell Williams, artist Jeff Koons and pro-surfer Malia Jones to raise funds and awareness for Rainforest Alliance, which is dedicated to sustaining biodiversity and ensuring sustainable livelihoods.

For this initiative, each partner created a Limited Edition label for Kiehl’s Açaí Damage-Protecting Toning Mist – itself part of a skincare collection that is not only Eco Cert certified organic, but is also the FIRST SKINCARE RANGE to ever receive gold standard Cradle to Cradle certification – meaning that it is made with the least amount of waste from start to finish.   100% of net proceeds (amounting to $200,000) will be raised worldwide to benefit Rainforest Alliance with this collection.

Each Protective Toning Mist is available right now for $26.00 at Kiehls.com.

Online Shopping at Beauty360.com.

The CVS one stop beauty destination called Beauty360 has recently launched their online store. I was thrilled when I was sent a gift card to check out the site and shop for some beauty goodies.

The Beauty360.com site is simple to shop. You can shop by beauty category, which they call departments, such as Hair Care, Makeup, Skin Care, etc.; or by brand. They carry higher end beauty brands that you usually find at specialty stores or in beauty meccas such as Sephora or Ulta. I was thrilled to see Laura Geller and CARGO available at Beauty360.com, especially now as they are being phased out of Sephora.

Some other noteable brands that are carried online include:

Billion Dollar Brows
Borba
Canyon Ranch
Freeze 24/7
IT Cosmetics
ME! Bath
ModelCo
Paula Dorf
Payot
Philip B
POP Beauty
Sampar
Talika
Vincent Longo

Visit Beauty360.com for the rest of the brand listing.

Shopping was simple and checkout was completed through CVS.com, so I could add my regular drugstore items to the order if I wanted as well. That is what I call convenience. My order qualified for free shipping, which I was notified of when I was shopping for the items. Some items are marked with Free Shipping on them. I could not pin down why this was as the items I noticed were not all of a certain brand or higher dollar amount, but were branded "FREE Standard Shipping Eligible". Check out was just as simple, and I received my beauty goodies by USPS Priority Mail in just two short days.

I will definitely be shopping through Beauty360.com again, but I do continue to hope an actual Beauty360 store opens in my area someday.
