Yay for the new year! I can't believe it is 2018; it's finally settling in for me. I've been organizing, cleaning out everything old — including makeup. Now is the perfect time to clean out the makeup bag and makeup drawers, throw away all of that old expired makeup and make room for everything new. With all of the new makeup launches, it's not hard.

The makeup brands have been launching a lot of new makeup this year already, and I have my eye on the new makeup palettes! Makeup palettes are the best way to get a lot of makeup at a great value. With makeup palettes that offer new or popular shades of shadow, great shades of blush, bronzer or contour, or even an entire face of makeup, there are so many makeup palettes that offer SO much. Here are 10 new must-have makeup palettes for the new year that have caught my eye for 2018.

If you're at all like me, when it comes to foundation makeup, you are either stuck in a makeup rut or just use a product you are meh about because you are too lazy to find your holy grail. I get it. Finding a foundation is HARD! I find one that I like and use it for years. I have two foundations that I really like and alternate between. I don't wear full-on foundation that often though, to be honest. On most days I use a tinted moisturizer or a CC Cream (or this version of it); I just really love these products. But I forge on and test the products that are sent to me in the hopes that I will find a foundation that will up the other and guess what? I think I found it in NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation.

New Year's Goal No. 3: Wear More Color!

Okay, okay, so I am getting pretty lofty with my goals for the new year. I am GOING to stick to my new nightly skincare routine and wear sunscreen every day. But this one just might be the most difficult one for me. I am going to wear more color. And I am not just talking makeup.

I wear mostly neutral makeup, especially lipstick. And nail polish. I also prefer a neutral color palette when it comes to my clothes. BORING. This is the year that I will start to wear more color. I am going to start with MAC's Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour Metallics because my oh my they are full-on gorgeous!
