Self-Tanning in Preperation for a Winter Vacation.

As you read this, I am on a jet plane on my way to the very south of Florida. I cannot tell you how much I need this vacation. The alone time away with my husband and warm weather is something I am definitely looking forward to.

In the last few days up until my winter vacation, I have been doing some major skin prep, which includes exfoliating and self-tanning. We know how bad tanning beds are for us even though this is how I would prep in the "old days". But like I said, these days it is all about self-tanning and with so many great self-tanners on the market, there is no good reason not to give them a try when going after a beautiful golden glow.

For my face, I am using a combination of Bella Bronze Golden Chamomile & Goats Milk Self-Tanner* for the face & body, on my face. Of course, I am using bronzer, and the one I use is specifically for bronzing and self-tanning. Remember Mally Beauty Bronze Genius Self-Tanning Bronzing Powder? I love it, and it is what I am depending on to keep my face looking golden right now.

My New Favorite Night Cream: Clinique Youth Surge Night Moisturizer.

As you probably can imagine, I am constantly testing new creams, both day and night. Some of them only get a few tries, some get a few weeks, and then some stay in my rotation and garner favorite status. This new moisturizer from Clinique is one of the latter. It is the newest in my night cream favorites.

Clinique Youth Surge Night Age Decelerating Night Moisturizer is the latest in the Youth Surge category from Clinique. Made specifically for night time use, this cream nourishes and repairs as it keeps my skin hydrated and looking alive when I wake up, no matter how much, or how little, I sleep.

This new Clinique wonder is based on it's Sirtuin technology. This technology that Clinique has created, puts to use some pretty heavy duty youth-extending ingredients, or agents as they call them, to fortify the skin at night. On top of the ingredients, this cream is packed with natural collagen. It gently, over the night, plumps skin to make lines and wrinkles fill in and much diminished in appearance.

I slather on this cream, which a bit on the thicker side, as a last step to my, what seems like never-ending, night time skin routine. I use about the size of a quarter which quickly sinks into both my face and neck.

Check out this new Youth Surge Night Moisturizer from Clinique online or the next time you are near your favorite Clinique counter. The jar is moderately affordable at $48.50, and I am sure you will be happy with the results.
