10 Things I'm Doing to Get Ready for the Holidays Featuring NuFACE.

With Thanksgiving just over a week away and the holiday season in full swing, I am in full on holiday prep mode. I'm not just talking the prepping house, gift buying or shopping for Thanksgiving dinner; I'm talking about how I prepare myself to look and feel my best. It is such a hectic time of year; I'll be seeing friends I haven't all year long and I have a lot of functions to attend. All of this in addition to holding down my already over-scheduled routine? There is no doubt that I'll be short on sleep and probably feeling up to par, so I'll need some help. I depend on some great products and a few services to get me in tip top holiday shape. Here are the top 10 things I am doing now to get ready for the holidays so I am looking and feeling my very best all season long.

10 Things I'm Doing to Get Ready for the Holidays: Start planning now so you'll be holiday pretty later!

1. Hair Appointment

I always make a hair appointment for the week of Thanksgiving. A trim and a color (nothing fancy, it's not time for a totally new look now) is perfect now so it will last through New Years Day.

2. Buy New Lipstick

I pick out a seasonal/holiday lipstick that I know will get me through the party season. I told you about my favorite fall lipsticks and more recently how I've been experimenting with lipstick color which are great for holiday parties. If you go with a smoky eye, a nude lipstick is your best choice.

3. Weekly Face Masks

My skin is stressed now more than ever during the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. I am sure to do a weekly hydrating face mask. Some of my recent favorites include: SK-II Facial Treatment Mask for an instant infusion of moisture and radiance boost; nügg Face Masks in the Dry or Dull Intense Skin Treatment Collection for instant relief in four consecutive days to dry, dull, dehydrated skin; Masker Aide All Nighter Hydrating Facial Sheet Mask to awaken, refresh and replenish tired skin; beauty360 Hydrating Purifying Tissue Facial Mask to replenish skin's moisture for a brighter complexion in 10 minutes.

4. Pamper My Feet

My feet will need to look their best for all the strappy heels I'll be wearing at my holiday parties and I just did something to get them softer than they've ever been — I did a chemical peel on my feet. Have you heard of Baby Foot? This exfoliant foot peel is the grossest thing I've ever done, but it revealed skin so soft that I will be do it again once I need to. After soaking my feet for one hour in special booties, my feet began to peel on day five and peeled lik nothing I've ever experienced for 11 days.  It was SO worth it. Don't fall for imitations, buy the original from babyfoot.com or beauty.com.

5. Serious Facial Toning with NuFACE Mini Facial Toning Device

One thing that I have been using to look my best this fall that is making a HUGE difference in my appearance is the NuFACE Mini Facial Toning Device. This handheld facial "toning" device actually gently lifts, contours and tones the skin by using microcurrents (soft wave technology that gently stimulates the skin to improve its appearance) and it only takes about five minutes a day. I have been using NuFACE to treat my jawline, cheekbone and brow areas and I have a noticeable improvement in the tone, as in, the area is lifted and appears fuller and more plump. I noticed a difference after a few days, but I have been using the NuFACE Mini for a few months and the results are only getting better and better. You can see the results happening right before your eyes.

Limited Edition White Rose NuFace Mini Facial Toning Device

I love the NuFACE so much, that I've partnered with my friends at NuFACE to giveaway one NuFACE Limited Edition White Rose Mini Facial Toning Device to one lucky reader. Please see below for all of the details.

If you haven't seen the NuFACE in action, you need to check it out.

6. DIY Spa Night

I try to do this weekly, but it's not always so easy during the holiday season. I make it a point to do it once or twice during the holiday season because it really does help me to relax and recharge the internal batteries. Here is how I do an at-home spa night: How to DIY Spa

7. Heavy Duty Eye Cream

I'm a huge proponent of eye cream and how much of a difference it can make in your appearance when you find the one that works best for you when used consistently (my favorite eye creams). In addition to my normal hydrating eye creams that I use this time of year, I have been using StriVectin Advanced Retinol Eye Cream. This cream uses a combination of NIA-114 and Retinol to get rid of puffiness, redness, dark circles and wrinkles pretty fast.

8. Manicure and Pedicure

I also have this scheduled for next week and it will be needed again (or two) before Christmas and New Years. I feel that this is something I can treat myself to and relax for the 90 or so minutes. If you can't afford the service, take the time to paint your nails in a pretty holiday nail color to feel festive.

9. Cover and Treat Dark Circles

I've got the concealer out and other tricks up my sleeve to hide how tired I am during this busy holiday season. Here is how I cover my dark circles, which actually takes a bit more than just a quick dab of concealer: How to Cover Dark Under Eye Circles

10. Relax and Enjoy

This might sound easier said than done, but I really do try to enjoy the holiday season and the true meaning of the season. I love spending time with family and friends and seeing those that I don't often see. When I feel stressed, I do take a bath and practice some of the spa things like I mentioned above, but there are some simple things I also do that relax me as well. I like to turn off all the lights in my house and only have the house lit by candlelight with holiday scents and holiday lights gleaming; I turn on holiday music in the background, light a fire, look through photo albums or turn on an old movie. Take a few moments and be grateful for the little things this season.

Perfecting My Fast and Easy Holiday Hair Look.

It’s that time of year again, can you believe it? The holiday season has officially begun! My calendar is already starting to fill up with holiday parties and I've been perfecting my fast and easy holiday hair look. As you begin prepping yours, keep in mind that CVS/pharmacy has the hair care products you need to create your perfect holiday hair look. If you stop into a store now through 12/5, you’ll save on some of your favorite hair care products, like TRESemme, Dove and Suave too — score! These products have helped me to get my fast and easy holiday hair look.

Products to Perfect a Fast + Easy Holiday Hair Look

TRESemme Moisture Rich Shampoo and Conditioner

As soon as it turns colder out, my hair needs an infusion of moisture, just as my body does. I've been using this Moisture Rich Shampoo and Conditioner to start my hair care routine. This duo locks in moisturize just where my hair needs it most. They contain an advanced moisturizing system with Vitamin E so the products help to restore vibrancy to my tresses and make my dry damaged hair soft all without weighing it down.

TRESemme Moisture Rich Shampoo and Conditioner

Suave Texturizing Sea Salt Spray

I've talked about this great product before and it is essential in my hairstyling routine. It adds that extra oomph and texture into my hair that simply makes it easier to style. It really helps to create a loose textured, not so perfect look that lasts up to 24 hours.

Suave Texturizing Sea Salt Spray

TRESemme TRES Two Hair Spray

I've mentioned how much I like TRESemme Hair Sprays, but this one was new to me and I'm really like how fast it works to hold my holiday hair look into place! This hair spray leaves no stiffness or stickiness, just flexible hold yet it is firm and long-lasting.

TRESemme TRES Two Hair Spray

My fast and easy holiday hair look is easy with a quick shampoo and condition with the Moisture Rich Shampoo and Conditioner. After my hair is about 50% air dry, I spritz on the Suave Texturizing Sea Salt Spray and finish with a blowout where I bend the ends of my hair under with a large round brush. The Sea Salt Spray helps to hold this curl in place. After blowing dry, I give my hair another quick mist of the Sea Salt Spray. I then take a large barrel curling iron (I think mine is 1 1/4") and curl only the few top layers of my hair all around my head. I take my fingers and loosen the curls with my fingers. If I want to loosen them more, I spray some of the Sea Salt Spray onto my hands and then run my fingers through my hair. To make my look different for the holidays thinking I'd be going to a party or special event, I took my side bangs and pushed them forward and added volume to my roots. I held it in place with a quick mist of the TRES Two Hair Spray.

Teri Cosenzi

I'm Teri, your resident beauty expert. While I'm not playing with beauty products, painting my nails or shopping for makeup with my daughter who loves trying products with me, you will probably find me sneaking off to Florida with my husband of over 25 years or cheering on one of my three sons. I like baking, re-decorating, drinking tea, fussing with my flowers and facials.

Lancôme Loves Lips this Fall.

I told you how I was obsessed with Lancôme L'Absolu Rouge Définition lipcolor on Tuesday, but that was just one of the new lip launches from Lancôme this fall. The brand is killing it with their lippie launches as of late. While I'm normally a nude lip girl, I have been experimenting with more color thanks to all of the beautiful options and I am really liking what I am seeing.

Lancome Lippies for Fall

First, I have to show you the Lancôme L'Absolu Rouge Définition lipcolors ($30.50) that I have been wearing.

I figured if I was going to go as far from neutral, then why not go red? I have Le Vermillon which is a perfect creamy matte bright orange red shade and Le Carmin which is a great creamy matte neutral red shade.

As a reminder, L'Absolu Rouge Définition is a highly pigmented lipcolor with a creamy matte finish that leaves lips drenched in really vibrant color. They wear beautifully on the lips — they actually feel quite hydrating for being described as matte. The tip of the lipstick is really pointed so it can be used almost as a liner and to define the lips.

Lancome L'Absolu Rouge Définition

Also new is Lancôme Color Design Matte Lip Color ($22.50) with five new shades. This one is also surprisingly really comfortable to wear as it's super long-wearing and leaves lips with a ton of color. I have three shades, Seal the Deal which is a matte muted pink, Afraid Not which is a matte dark wine shade and Racy which is matte hot pink. I don't think I can express how pretty lips look while wearing; lines are filled in, which I find important when wearing matte lipstick, and the color is very true. Seal the Deal is my favorite of what I have, but I want to pick up Inconspicuous too, which looks to be a pretty peachy/pink nude shade.

Lancôme Color Design Matte Lip Color

Finally, my favorite new Lancôme lip launch out of the bunch is L'Absolu Velours ($30). Think of this as a matte lipgloss though it's really a liquid lipcolor; the color payoff is unreal! This liquid lipstick applies like a lipgloss with it's pointed flocked applicator wand and leaves lips with such intense color (I really can't say that enough) that feels AND looks so smooth on the lips. It has a bit of a glossy finish to it; it's not too matte. I think the matte here is more-so in the way that the color fills in and drenches the lips in such a full-on precise way. This one is also incredibly comfortable to wear. There are nine shades in all. I have Velours D'Etincelle which is a creamy bright red and Velours De Pourpre which is a creamy bright pink.

L'Absolu Velours

All of the new Lancôme lipcolors are available at lancome-usa.com, Sephora as well as Lancôme counters in your favorite department stores like Bloomingdales, Macy's and Nordstrom.
