10 Face Oils to Make Dry Skin Glow

It goes without saying that we are in the coldest phase of winter. These harsh, cold temperatures coupled with the dry indoor heat, do a number on my skin; it’s drier than ever. This is the time of year that I like to start incorporating face oils into my skincare regime.

Face oil will not only immediately hydrate skin, but face oil will also seal in the moisture from your other skincare products. This will make your other products work harder and longer so that they deeply moisturize the skin.

Best Oils for Dry Skin

I’ve tested a lot of oils to find the ones that work right for me. I am not a fan of oils that are thick or heavy. On the other hand, there are also oils that are too runny or never seem to absorb into the skin properly. I have searched for the oils that hit the spot, nourish my skin and make my dry skin glow.

These are my ten favorite face oils to make my dry skin glow.

  1. Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins Skin Refining Oil
As you might expect, this face oil is to be used at night to replenish the skin. It is enriched with vitamins plus eight plant oils to replenish the skin. This was one of the first that I tried and it is still in my regimen from time to time because I just love how it makes my skin feel.

  2. Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate
This facial oil is SO much more than a face oil; this nighttime facial oil visible firms and smooths the skin overnight. It does that while helping to rid the skin of dryness AND adding in antioxidant protection that works throughout the day. I think this was the very first nighttime face oil treatment that I used and it’s my favorite nighttime face oil treatment.

  3. Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil
This luxurious facial oil is also full of antioxidants to help rid skin of dullness and dryness while it helps to protect skin from environmental stressors. It made with Marula Oil which is naturally from the “pip” of the Marula fruit to also aid in the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, redness, and blotchiness. This oil helps to alleviate dryness while sinking into the skin quickly.

  4. Farsali Rose Gold Elixir
In case you haven’t heard of this trendy face oil, it’s a good one; it’s even infused with 24K gold flakes. Along with that, it is like most face oils and is rich in vitamins, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids, but at the heart of the formula is Rosehip seed oil plus acids. All of this helps to brighten the skin and improve the texture of the skin. I’ve been really impressed with this oil and like it for the daytime.

  5. The Body Shop Drops of Youth Concentrate
This is an innovative serum oil that immediately hydrates the skin. My skin feels amazingly soft as soon as I smooth it on. It is made with plant stem cells from Criste Marine and Beech Bud extract to help boost surface skin cell renewal.

  6. Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil
Also as this one suggests, this oil is for use at night to nourish and replenish the skin while you sleep. Not only does this face oil replenish the skin, but it also gives skin a serious glow as it gently exfoliates layers of dull skin as it has retinol in the formula. It is balanced with blue tansy and German chamomile essential oils—both rich in soothing, blue azulene, so skin is never irritated. I am quite sensitive to retinol’s because I use so many peels, and I have been able to use this oil without any issues.

  7. Mario Badescu Rose Hip Nourishing Face Oil
This is another face oil that uses rose hips as the base of the formula to not only smooth and soothe dry skin, but also includes Vitamin C. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant to protect the skin while it helps to brighten the skin tone.

  8. Josie Maran 100 Percent Pure Argan Oil
This is the oil that started my love for oils. It is fairly heavy and I love using this on my hands and neck; I do mix a few drops in with my moisturizer for extra hydration and long-lasting moisturization. This oil is full of essential fatty acids, vitamin E, and antioxidants. There is a Light version that I prefer to use on its own.

  9. Fresh Seaberry Moisturizing Face Oil
Seaberry Oil is a powerful antioxidant oil that is at the heart of this omega-rich formula. This one is quite lightweight; it sinks into the skin quickly yet it keeps the skin hydrated long-term. It’s good for all skin types from dry to even those with oilier types of skin.

  10. pixi Rose Oil Blend
This botanical blend of sweet almond, Rosehip, jojoba, pomegranate seed, and rose geranium oils leaves the skin smoothes and hydrated. It is another thicker oil but it does sink into the skin. I also use this one on my neck and hands and prefer to mix this formula in with other moisturizers, use at night or on non-makeup days.
