A Summer Staple: bliss Block Star Invisible Daily Sunscreen

If there is one beauty item that I am overly particular about, it is facial sunscreen. I obviously demand protection from UVA/UVB rays daily and want something more than what I would get in my foundation, tinted moisturizer or CC cream. The tricky part is that it can’t interfere with my makeup whatsoever.

I’ve searched high and low and have settled on a few. A very few. I often use Alastin Hydratint Pro Mineral Broad Spectrum Sunscreen from the medical-grade brand Alastin, but it doesn’t stop me from searching. Enter bliss Block Star Invisible Daily Sunscreen.

Making its way on the scent earlier this spring, Block Star is a 100% Mineral Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Invisible Daily Sunscreen. It is lighted tinted, with no white cast to it, and it blends on with the silkiest feel; it almost feels like a makeup primer. This cruelty-free sunscreen blends in sheer for superior daily mineral protection with an invisible finish.

I love that this sunscreen is not greasy, sticky, or heavy. It doesn’t contain any of the yucky sunscreen chemicals and contains only minerals like Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide with the brand’s antioxidant blend. This means it does not irritate the skin, leave any white cast or chalkiness behind; it will not clog the pores. It simply blends in with ease and does its job of protecting the skin while giving skin a nice finish. I’m thoroughly impressed.

There is a very slight scent to it that masks the tell-tale sunscreen mineral scent, but it is light and it’s pretty much perfect if you ask me. All-in-all it makes bliss Block Star even more of a summer must.
