Beauty Favorites Friday: Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Glow Pads.

Today's beauty favorite comes from my beauty blogging friend Laura at My Newest Addiction Beauty Blog.

MNABB was started to document Laura's adventures/misadventures with various products and looks.  It has become so much more.  She has started doing videos, giving tips and advice, as well as reviews.

Laura uses Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Glow Pads all summer long. I do too! Read on to see why Laura loves this self-tanning fave.

For the summertime I find it essential to have Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Glow Pads on hand. In a nutshell: these pads are the only anti-aging, exfoliating, self-tanner that come in the form of a 3 in x 3 in pre-moistened towelette (it also contains Active Vitamin D).  The genius behind these pads is Dr. Dennis Gross who is a trusted NYC dermatologist who created the his at-home skincare line to supplement his practice.

Why are these my Summer Beauty Favorite? There are a few reasons.  First of all, I am making a conscious effort to minimize the damage caused by being out in the sun too long.  The only problem is that I still want to look sun-kissed and glowing.  As soon as warmer weather starts rearing it’s marvelous head around the corner I pull these babies out and all is good.  They give off the most even, natural-looking tan I have ever witnessed.  The first time I used them this season I had people at work asking me if I had taken a fun vacation because the effects are just that convincing.

Another reason I love these pads is because I DO live on the east coast of Florida and I DO go to the beach pretty regularly.  While I am there I am covered in sunblock.  I always manage to have a face that is lighter than my body and these pads are wonderful at correcting that.

One of the problems with most self-tanners is that they smell horrible and if you apply it before going to bed you will find that it will rub onto your pillow or sheets as well as your clothes.  Alpha Beta Glow Pads don’t transfer onto fabric around you at all.  As far as the smell goes, the pads themselves don’t have an odor but once applied to your face and the self-tanner activates it does have a distinct “self-tanner” smell.  So these are something that I would do in the evening before bed.

And finally, the skincare aspect is truly amazing.  The exfoliation is very mild and has never irritated my skin, as most exfoliators tend to do.  Also my skin stays very clear, looks smoother, and my pores have decreased dramatically since I first started using them.  These pads have honestly changed my skin for the better and I hope to never have to be without them.

Tips for application:  The instructions say to apply using a circular motion and always start the process on the area of the face that you want the most color deposited.  I start on my cheeks, then the forehead, and then the chin.  I then blend it all together making sure to get the area around the brows as well as the ears and neck (front and back).  That may seem like a lot of area to cover with such a small towelette but I assure you that you will find it to be more than enough moisture in the pads.  I sometimes to a second blend over my face.

I wholeheartedly recommend anyone to try Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Glow Pads and urge you to try them!

xoxo,

Laura
