Sponsored: Curl Power!

Paul Mitchell wants you to really celebrate your curls. No matter what type of curls you have, it's time to rock them with pride. Play with them. Show them off.

How great would it be to show off your curls in in some of the coolest places in the country, namely New York and Los Angeles? Very cool, right? Well, all you have to do is upload a picture of yourself, sporting your fly curls, and write a brief curl confession at the Paul Mitchell The Truth About Curls Facebook page. Be sure to use the hashtag #curlconfession. Then, on November 15th, Paul Mitchell will be lighting up New York and Los Angeles with all of the images submitted - live streamed for the world to see! Talk about a HUGE celebration!

Again, to get involved, all you have to do is submit your confession on the Paul Mitchell Facebook page or post your #curlconfession via Twitter to @PaulMitchellUS or Instagram anytime before 11:59 PM EST on 11/14. If you can’t be there to see it in person, projections will be streamed live, starting at 6:00 PM EST on 11/15 for the NYC spectacle, and 6:00 PM PST for the sister event in LA. Paul Mitchell is also giving away the entire full-sized Curls product line to their favorite curl confessions each week. After submitting your #curlconfession on Facebook, simply enter your information for a chance to win.

If you are in NYC or LA, you will want to check out the projections in person. The locations will be provided on the Paul Mitchell Facebook page. If you get to see the projections in person, you will also be able to scan a QR code to enter for a chance to win. So cool!

Be sure to visit the Paul Mitchell The Truth About Curls Facebook page for exact streaming locations and the live stream of the event. I can't wait to watch!

Paul Mitchell Curl's Collection.

Last month when I told you about the fun Paul Mitchell The Truth About Curls campaign, I mentioned that there are some new Paul Mitchell products made just for curly hair. I promised I would tell you more about them, and here they are!

Paul Mitchell Curl's Collection

The new Paul Mitchell Curls Collection products:

Spring Loaded Detangling Shampoo™ - This sulfate-free shampoo cleanses hair while leaving hair hydrated and conditioned yet not weighed down. Curls are fizz free right out of the shower.

Full Circle Leave-In Treatment™ - This lightweight conditioner is left in hair to keep hair soft and manageable, while not weighing down the hair so curls can look their best.

Twirl Around™ - This double duty product is a gel and cream that is mixed together right in the bottle so you get the perfect amount of each. The hybrid helps to manage curls, while shaping them and keeping them soft and looking pretty - never crunchy.

Ultimate Wave
™ - This styling cream is the ultimate helper for wavy or curly hair. After hair is styled, rub a small amount of this into curls to separate and add texture into the hair.

I hate waves that just sit there, so Ultimate Wave is my new favorite hair styling product. I usually just style, hair spray and go. By using just a bit of this cream, and I mean a bit - like the size of a pea, my hair has movement and looks more natural. I rube the cream into my hands and just run them through my hair. The cream defines defines the wave, while it adds more volume to my look.

To buy these new hair care wonders, you can find a salon with the handy salon locator from the Paul Mitchell website.

Don't forget about the special The Truth About Curls Facebook page. In case you haven't checked out all of the Curl Confessions over on the site, be sure to do so. Take a few mninutes to share you very own curl confession to be featured live on the site. I love to hear how real women deal with their hair dilemmas. It makes me realize that I am not in this alone. Plus, I learn new ways to manage my very own love/hate relationship with my hair. If you do leave your own Curl Confession, please let me know so I can check it out!

Paul Mitchell Knows the Truth About Curls.

I love a love/hate relationship with my curls. I like them when the weather is dry and I can get a nice wave. I hate them when it is raining, or hot and humid.  That's when I get these kinky little curls underneath my hair and they can make the rest of my hair go "poof!".

Somewhat like Monica from Friends, and her exaggerated hair; no matter how much product I put in this section of my hair, it takes on a life of its own in the humidity.

I'm certainly not alone in my feelings of loving and hating my curls at the same time. Paul Mitchell found this sentiment to be very true when putting together this fun new, The Truth About Curls campaign.

You see, the brand polled a ton of people to find out how they feel about their curls, and they are sharing that information over on The Truth About Curls Facebook page. Be sure to check out http://bit.ly/CurlsConfession and like the page to see it all.  They want your input too. Submit your Curl Confession, and make sure you use the hashtag #curlconfession on all your social media accounts to show it off.

I'll tell you about the new Paul Mitchell Curl's Collection products real soon.
