The matte lipcolors glide on beautifully and leave lips soft like all MAC lipstick do. These shades are never too flat or matte. Some matte lip shades are simply awful; not so with MAC. These are almost satin. I think of them as an eggshell finish when thinking of the paint finish. What is great is that even if you don't love a matte lip look (like me) but crave color, you can always just swipe on a bit of gloss and be good to go.
