Now that August is here and fall will be upon us next month (NO!!!) it is time to start talking fall collections. First up is is the beautiful fall collection from NARS. The entire focus is really on the eyes with the new Velvet Shadow Sticks that I just told you about last week. François Nars was inspired by the eyes for the entire collection and he says it best, “It just seemed like the collection needed to revolve around eyes and especially how eye color and texture can convey not just character and mood but a period in time, be it an era or a decade or even a season.” There is a lot more to the collection -- take a look.
The NARS Fall Color Collection includes the eight Velvet Shadow Sticks that I previously featured, two new gorgeous Dual Intensity Eyeshadows in a smoky shimmering brown and golden ombré, one iconic red lipstick, two neutral lipglosses and one absolutely stunning highlighting blush. Together the look is a naturally, sculpted face, beautiful skin with sultry, shimmery eyes. All you have to decide upon is the lip -- I say glossy and neutral for day and daring and sexy deep red for night.

Tribulation - Shimmery rosy sand
I have a few of the products and of what I have, I really like them. I haven't given the VIP Red lipstick a try yet, but I will come fall. I'm most surprised at how much I'm loving Tribulation Blush. It is a perfect highlighting shade in a shimmery sand color with just a hint of rosey pink to it. It is a full shimmer, not a grainy shimmer, which makes it perfect for highlighting. I have actually been applying it with an eyeshadow blending blush for more control to areas that I want to highlight. NARS #42 Blending Eyeshadow Brush is a nice one to try and works really well with this Blush for highlighting.
The Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow in Telesto is a really beautiful shade. I love it on its own swiped on the lid with a ivory or honey colored shadow on the brow bone. To kick it up, use the shadow wet.
