Urban Decay is out with their brand new spring collection, and it is not quite as you'd expect — this spring collection doesn't have any makeup in it. Unexpected, right? The Urban Decay spring collection is all about the skin and how to properly prep and treat it prior to makeup application. It's super smart and it really is about makeup if you think about it. The products that make up this year's spring collection are aimed at creating the most flawless and longest lasting makeup with a collection of prep, prime and set products.

PREP

Urban Quick Fix Hydra-Charged Complexion Prep Priming Spray

This spray is meant to balance and reinvigorate your skin post-cleansing. Inspired by the Korean water trend, this spray is SUPER hydrating as it smoothes the skin. It seriously preps the skin as it visibly reduces the appearance of pores, brightens and smooths the skin all while adding a boost of hydration. I LOVE this spray first thing in the morning. It's like a little wake-up call for the skin that does double duty.

Urban Decay B6 Vitamin Infused Complexion Prep Spray

This soothing spray preps, primes and balances the complexion while evening out skin tone, absorbing oil and reducing shine. This formula contains the FIRST patented, stabilized form of topical vitamin B6 — very advanced. You can spritz it on any time of day to hydrate, prep and soften your skin. Like all of the sprays in the collection, the mist is superfine, so it is totally fine to use under and over makeup. It feels extremely light, feels like nothing and dries instantly.

PRIME

Urban Decay Optical Illusion Complexion Primer

I am OBSESSED with Optical Illusion Complexion Primer and it is my new go-to primer. This one instantly blurs flaws, reduces fine lines and makes pores seem to vanish — really. It makes skin look flawless with an almost perfect texture. It's velvety soft and super lightweight primer. It has a very light pink tint to it that give skin just a bit of illumination,  but as it dries down it becomes completely clear on the skin and feels somewhat powdery on the skin. Makeup goes on flawless and truly looks airbrushed and more perfect when I use this. Really, as the name suggests, Optical Illusion creates an optical veil of scattered light, giving skin a blurred and soft-focus effect. If you don't know which primer to try, get this one.

Urban Decay De-Slick Complexion Primer

This lightweight, oil-absorbing primer not only controls shine, but also helps makeup go on better and last all day.

Urban Decay Bright & Tight Complexion Primer

I don't have this one, but it's another one that I really want to try. It's made for any complexion type but it's perfect for more dry and mature skins like me. It's said to be skin smoothing and moisturizing to create a radiant glow and leave skin feeling firmer instantly — everything I want to hear. It also contains illuminating pigments to give this formula a pearlescent effect with a subtle opal shift, so skin looks healthy and radiant… glowing, but not shiny. I hope to try this one soon.

Urban Decay Self-Adjusting Complexion Primer

This color-correcting formula features encapsulated pigments that actually adjust to your skin tone. Micro-encapsulated beads of pigment are suspended in the formula and burst on your skin, adapting to your skin tone as you apply. This one is super high-tech too as it helps to create the perfect soft-focus effect so flaws seem to disappear. Of course, it does all this helps to make your makeup last all day.

Urban Decay Urban Defense Complexion Primer SPF 30

This primer is like a completely clear sunscreen — very unique. It does feel amazing it doesn't interfere with makeup. I've been spending time in Florida, so I have been using this one there on days that I've been outside a lot. This primer is very lightweight, though it is still hydrating. It does blur away flaws and helps to lock in makeup for the day. The clear formula can even be reapplied during the day OVER makeup.

SET

If you haven't tried one of Urban Decay's makeup setting sprays before, now is a perfect time. With this launch, they are sort of re-launching their beloved sprays with updated packaging. I am a huge fan of the All-nighter spray and use it regularly. All of them mist on weightlessly over makeup to help lock in makeup and make it ast all day and night. There are three setting sprays to choose from.

All Nighter

All Nighter keeps makeup looking gorgeously just-applied for up to 16 hours – without melting, fading or settling into fine lines

De-Slick

De-Slick makes makeup last as it controls oil, deflects surface shine and keeps skin looking beautifully matte. High-tech ingredients help keep makeup from smudging, sliding or fading so you hardly ever need to touch up.

Chill

Chill features time-release technology that actually cools the surface of your makeup to help it last for up to 12 hours without smudging or settling into fine lines.
