It's October and you know what that means, it's Breast Cancer Awareness month. I have been a long time supporter of the Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign.
It's a fact that breast cancer is the most common cancer in women worldwide, one in eight women in the United States will develop breast cancer in her lifetime and that a woman is diagnosed with this heartbreaking disease every two minutes. Let's take action.
The Estée Lauder Companies’ says that every action counts. NO matter how big or small, be it a donation, a unique post on Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #BCAstrength to inspire someone who may be suffering or by simply purchasing one of your favorite Estée Lauder brand beauty products to support their global fundraising efforts -- it all adds up. To date, the BCA Campaign has raised more than $58 million to support global research, education and medical services.
To raise funds to support their BCA campaign, fifteen of the Estée Lauder Companies’ beauty brands join together by launching special pink ribbon products that are for sale right now where proceeds of the purchase price go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. You can see all of the products here but I have a few favorites.
Bobbi Brown Peony Set ($50) - This two piece set includes Bobbi’s famous silky powder blush in the perfect pop of pink, Peony which leaves cheeks with a natural-looking flush. It also includes a Mini Face Blender Brush with a matching pink handle.
Donna Karan Cashmere Mist Eau de Parfum Spray ($82) - This classic scent is a beautiful scent; it's sheer and soft, inspired by cashmere touching a woman's skin. The scent combines Moroccan jasmine, lily of the valley and bergamot with warm undertones of sandalwood, amber and musk. It is simply beautiful and perfect for anytime of year and everyday.
Smashbox 24 Hour Photo Finish Shadow Primer ($20) - An eyeshadow primer is key to ensuring eye makeup locks in place all day plus it makes shadows more vibrant. I like how this shadow primer smooths away creases and fine lines too. Tip: let it dry for about 30 seconds before applying eyeshadow.
