Happy Birthday America!

One of the most beautiful things is our great country, the United States of America. And on today as we celebrate this special day, let us not forget those who have fought for us and to keep our nation free.

All About the Eyes: SkinCeuticals A.G.E. Eye Complex.

The first signs of aging seems to always appear around the eyes. Take out the sun factor, the squinting, rubbing etc.. I am talking about internal processes that are naturally occur as we age. Some internal factors include hormonal shifts and metabolic slowdown. This unfortunately results in puffiness, sagging, creping, and an overall thinness.

One cream that helps penetrate this delicate eye and target these internal factors is from SkinCeuticals called A.G.E. Eye Complex.

This very thick, almost balm-like cream is a unique treatment. It provides three dimensions of action and results.

  • On the surface, the optical diffusers in the cream immediately improve the look and gives off a slight radiance to the eye area. It diminishes the look of the fine lines, dark areas, and capillaries. 
  • Just under the skin, specialized ingredients such as haloxyl and flavagrum improve the lymphatic drainage to start to eliminate puffiness and dark circles.
  • Within the skin, 4% blueberry extract pauses the internal reactions that occur within the collagen and elastin fibers along with 5% Proxylane to improve and strengthen the elasticity of the skin.

In studying the before and after pictures, (which I had trouble scanning - sorry) there was noticeable improvements after 4 weeks of using this cream and a pretty remarkable difference at the 12 week mark. My 66 year old mother is going to take this eye cream to the test and I will be posting her follow-up results.

For the Lippie Lovers: MAC Euristocrats2.

As I made a quick trip through Nordstrom last night, I had to stop and do a double-take as I passed by the MAC counter. Ooh - my favorite Dazzleglasses were in a special little display. I had to investigate.

These new beauties, all seven of them were screaming my name, along with seven new lipsticks and four new lip pencils. Alas, this was the newest collection from MAC, just out yesterday. Take a look at Euristocrats2 to see why I am swooning.

Before I give you the rundown, I will say that I picked up two of the Dazzleglass Lip Gloss and one of the new Lipsticks. The first Dazzleglass I picked was Euro Beat, which is a beautiful coral shade with gold pearl. I also selected Roman Holiday, which is a deeper coral, more on the brown side, but with a pink pearl finish to it. The Lipstick I just had to have is Naked Paris. It is a pin/coral shade with an almost color-changing pearl to it. It looks different in each type of light, but each look is gorgeous. It looks really bright in the tube, but is absolutely beautiful on the lips.

A Bronzer for the Body - Orlane Bronzing Pressed Powder.

Meant to be just a beautiful bronzer for the face, I could not help myself in applying this all over. The compact is HUGE and I honestly thought it was meant for the body.
