What is Your Concealer?

question.jpgWe didn't want to leave our loyal readers out without taking their suggestions as to what their favorite concealer(s) is.

Drop us a quick comment as to what you use.

Just the product line and name will be sufficient - don't worry about the shade or pricing, etc.

Example:
Clinique - All About Eyes

This way when we work on our concealer guide for next year, we will be sure to include yours in our testing.

Thanks!

The Ultimate Concealer Guide.

It's here! Our Ultimate Concealer Guide.

Concealer is sometimes a personal decision, but it is often a choice found by trying so many, making it a sometimes difficult trial and error process. We have tried to simplify this process for you, by bringing you this guide.

For the last month or so, we have tried 49 concealers. We tried concealers from very low to high price points, and all different types.

In testing and trying we found that most concealers fall into one of six categories, so we have organized the guide that way.

In the end, we ended up recommending 27 of them.  I hope you can find one that works right for you.

To use the guide, you can simply click on our Ultimate Concealer Guide banner at the top of the page, or on the title in our right-hand side bar. You can also simply click on the categories listed below, which are also listed on the side bar.

Happy Halloween!

Happy, Happy Halloween!

What I love about Halloween is doing the makeup for my kiddos.

My daughter is a bride, so we did "grown up" makeup. hallo_caci_2.jpg

I started with MAC NC40 Studio Fix all over, used Sugar Daddy Glistening Powder from Tarte on her cheeks, Girlactik Glam Eye Powder in Violet Glam, CoverGirl Lash Exact in Black, and CoverGirl Outlast Lip Shine Duo in #205, a beautiful peachy/gold.

My son Johnny is Sidious, the Sith Lord from Star Wars. Joey is the Gream Reaper, but he wanted to wear a red robe, so he is calling himself the Devil Reaper.

I used cream makeup in black, white, gray and red on Joey.

On Johnny, I used a cream stick foundation from Becca, in Latte, all over his face. I used MAX Factors Pan Stick in Rich Beige for contouring on his cheeks, chin, around his mouth, and drew with it on his forehead. Around his eyes I used Bobbi Brown's Cream Blush Stick in Red Berry. I set it all with Physicians Formula Face Aid in Translucent.

I love playing with makeup, and I love that my kids let me play. Taking it off - and getting it all off will definitely be a chore - especially on Joey - the Grim Reaper.

Have a fun day and be sure to do lot's of treating!
