Chella Exfoliating Cleanser Micro Bead Purifier.

Of all the beauty tasks I dislike (shaving, timed hair treatment processing, eyebrow shaping, oh my!), washing my face is one of the least offensive contenders. I still don’t love it, though! In order to combat my ennui, I try to pick new, pretty or exciting products to motivate me. That’s where Chella Exfoliating Cleanser Micro Bead Purifier ($35, 4.5oz) comes in.

Packed in a sleek and chic squeeze tube, this cleanser had me at “hello”. Chella’s Exfoliating Cleanser promises tangible results by way of refined and clear pores, clean skin, and long term benefits. These results are made possible with a combination of physical (jojoba beads) and chemical (beta hydroxy acid) cleansers to provide a gentle but thorough cleanse. Sounds fabulous, right? It is!

I was surprised and delighted by the cleanser’s thick, substantial gel consistency. Plus, it’s a cool green shade! When “activated” or mixed with water, the cleansing gel spreads easily. I love that it manages to remove make-up, dirt, and oil without leaving me with a tight and dry face afterward. Also, as physical exfoliaters go, this one is incredibly gentle. I wouldn’t mind using this every day on my sometimes sensitive skin.

Best Bronzer: Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Golden Perfection Self-Tanner for Face.

It is no secret that I am a huge fan of self tanners and use one almost every day.  The ones I use most often are for my face. Except for one minor snafu this summer where a new SPF 30 lotion failed me, and I got burnt, my face is probably three or four shades lighter than my body (even when using SPF), so a self tanner face lotion is a must, and I continue to try out new products and formulas.

My latest favorite is this Bronze Goddess Golden Perfection Self-Tanning Lotion for Face from Estée Lauder. Besides the light beachy sent that I love, I really like this one for the touch of golden glow color I get instantly, and the deeper color that builds on my skin in just an hour or so. It is a creamy lotion that spreads evenly, but light enough to dry really quick.

Golden Perfection Self-Tanning is formulated with a nurturing blend of Fruit Extract, Jasmine and Narcissus Flowers, Coconut Oil and La exclusive Abricot Nectar. Skin is conditioned to look more radiant on its own, in addition to the color you get from the lotion.

Bronze Goddess Golden Perfection Self-Tanning Lotion for Face is available at all Estée Lauder counters as well as online at esteelauder.com for $22.50.

What is Your Vision of Beauty?

In conjunction with the launch of a brand new serum, Visionnaire [LR 2412%], Lancôme is asking "What is your Vision of Beauty?".

The clip above is a trailer for the new website (launching today) visionsofbeauties.com, an innovative discussion about beauty.

Beauty... a piece of art, a landscape, a face: Beauty is everywhere and everyone has his own vision.  By inviting us to share our vision of beauty, Visionsofbeauties reflects the richness of this universal notion.

Open to all, this big digital painting follows the pace of the participants. Whether it is an image, a phrase, or a video, everybody is free to choose the media that represents their vision and then share it.

Contributions will appear beside famous figures Giuseppe Zanotti, Anna Dello Russo, Michelle Phan, Rumi Neely and André too. With humor and sincerity, sometimes with originality, they have accepted to share their vision of beauty and to participate in this huge beauty celebration.

I will be and hope you share your Vision of Beauty too.

Stay tuned for more information on the new serum. It was twelve years in the making and the newly discovered molecule has proven to penetrated deeper into the skin than any other product before. I just started testing it and will share my thoughts and more product info, of course, soon.
