Prepare Your Skin for Winter with Clarins.

The weather has certainly changed here in New England. Gone are the long, humid days of summer.  It is now getting dark out by 6:00 PM, not to mention that is getting much colder and dry already.  I am prepping my skin for winter by using my usual winter skin products now. Hopefully, this will help me combat the extreme dryness I get in the winter, by starting to prevent it from even happening in the first place.

Here is what I am using in my winter skin prep, all from Clarins.

Hand and Nail Treatment Cream ($30)
This hand cream is on my desk, and I am applying it once or twice a day already. I use a thicker cream at night, but for nourishing and protecting with an invisible glove-like shield, this cream works. Enriched with Sesame Oil and Japanese Mulberry, hands are kept soft all day long.  I am sure as it gets even more cold and dry out, I will be applying this after every hand washing.  It sinks into my skin really quick so it is actually not a bother.

Moisture Rich Body Lotion ($40)
I like this instant skin hydrator for not only how it makes my body feel after applying, but I like it it locks in. My skin constantly feels hydrated so I never get that dry or sometimes itchy feel during the day.  Made with Peach Milk, Shea, Candlenut Oil and Orange Blossom, this body lotion does the trick. It is not too light, not too rich - it is just right.

Tonic Body Treatment Oil ($54)
There is nothing quite like this body oil to soothe dry skin. Using a small amount of it over my wet skin after showering is not only soothing; it feels luxurious. It smells it too. Made with 100% natural oils of pure plant extracts including Rosemary, Geranium, Mint and Hazelnut this oil does more than you would think. This oil helps to firm, tone and improve elasticity, smooth the appearance of stretch marks - all while keeping skin soft.

What do you do to prep your skin for winter?

Beauty + Good = Clarins FEED Bag.

When I was at the Nordstrom anniversary sale a few weeks, I was immediately approached by a Clarins rep about having a free mini facial.  When I told her what I do for a living, she started to tell me about this collaboration (which was originally a NORDSTROM exclusive), which was evident by the t-shirt she was wearing,  She was wearing a red t-shirt that said FEED and it was to bring attention to this noteworthy collaboration between FEED Projects and Clarins.

I learned that Lauren Bush, co-founder of FEED projects has partnered with Clarins to create the FEED 15 pouch. Through the partnership, this will provide school children with nutritious meals through the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP).  The goal is to feed 1 million underprivileged children in two years.  What a wonderful project that we need to get behind.

So, what is the FEED 15 pouch? The Clarins FEED 15 Pouch is selling for $30 and contains three of Clarins most iconic products; Hand and Nail Treatment Cream, Moisture -Rich Body Lotion and Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector. The signature stencil FEED on the pouch indicates that the sale of this pouch will provide 15 nutritious meals. Yes - 15 meals with one purchase! Think about it, get healthy skin while helping to feed those that need it to get healthy too. WIN - WIN.

Pick up the FEED 15 Pouch at Nordstrom now, or at Clarins.com starting August 1st. Again, $30, three products, and 15 nutritious meals for those that need it most.

Clarins Barocco Face Palette.

This face powder from the Clarins Barocco Holiday Collection is my favorite blush/highlighter of the season. The powder inside the beautiful packaging is a stunner. When swirled together, you get a beautiful beige peach shimmer powder, that I love on top of bronzer. It gives me the winter glow I so long for.
