A Look Ahead to Summer - Lancôme Cabana Bronze.
If this doesn't make you wish for long, hot Summer days, I don't know what will. The Lancôme Summer Collection, which doesn't hit counters until next month, is simply beautiful. Let me introduce you to Cabana Bronze.

The star products include the Star Bronzer Sun Cherub Compact and the Color Design Cabana Bronze Eye Shadow Palette.
The Sun Cherub Compact ($50) is a cherub embedded large bronzer. Loved by celebrities and makeup artists, this très grand palette showcases the original Lancôme cherub embossed in a sea of light and dark bronze shades.
Select from one of the two new shadow palettes. Color Design Cabana Bronze Eye Shadow Palette ($43) in Cabana Sunrise, with its pinks, lilacs and browns, will awaken your senses, while Cabana Sunset with its sultry golds and deep browns will set the mood for the evening ahead.
I am rocking the Cabana Sunset eye look today with the newest Color Fever Gloss from the collection, in a beautiful sheer and sparkling bronze. Now, I just need the bronze tan to match (coming soon!).
I cannot wait until the entire collection is launched in April.
Cameron Diaz: An Introduction to Self Tanner and Bronzers.
I think that Cameron Diaz is absolutely darling. And she looked beautiful at the Academy Awards last night - with one exception. Her tan lines! Someone needs to tell Cameron about the wonders of self-tanners and bronzers.
With so many bronzers, temporary tanners and long-lasting self-tanners, there was just no excuse for this fashion faux paus.
Some easy remedies to blend in tan lines:
Bronzers
Guerlain Terracotta Bronzer - $42
Tarte Mineral Powder Bronzer - $28
CARGO Bronzer - $25
Instant/Temporary Tanners
LORAC TANtalizer Body Bronzer - $30
Benefit Cosmetics Jiffy Tan - $24
Sephora Super Sheen Bronzing Mist - $12
Self-Tanners
ModelCo Tan Airbrush in a Can - $36
Clarins Self Tanning Instant Gel - $30
Xen Tan Mist Intense - $29
At long last Cameron blend, blend, and blend some more! Those tan lines can really be blended away in very little time.
Prescriptives The Illuminator All Over Face Color.
The Illuminator All Over Face Color Powder from Prescriptives saved me this weekend. With so much, really too much going on, I barely had time for makeup, and using The Illuminator made my makeup a cinch.
I used the powder not only on my cheeks as a bronzer with the two darkest colors and then topping that with the pink and gold color, I highlighted them also with the two shades in the middle, a real light shimmery gold mix. Then I used the darker bronzed colors on my eyelid, and the golds on my brow bone. I even dabbed a bit of the gold color on the bottom of my lower lip after applying some gloss.
The colors blended so easily and felt like satin on my skin.
Here is what Prescriptives says what The Illuminator is:
"This ultra-luxurious all over face color is like candlelight in a compact. Bask in the glow as you sweep The Illuminator All Over Face Color over face and cheeks to highlight, contour, illuminate and customize any look with golden warmth. Three complementary shades impart a luminous 3-D effect that is strikingly beautiful and flattering to all skin tones. Perfect for touch-ups throughout the day, it can be worn as a sheer wash of color, layered for depth and dimension or swirled together to create a customized shade. Plus, the sleek gunmetal compact with crystal-studded metal charm has show-off appeal."
I love it, and know you will too. The Illuminator All Over Face Color is $35 at your Prescriptives counter and on their website, of course.
The Sephora Supermodel Kit.
Has Sephora gone and lost their mind? When I saw this beauty I thought wait. I see Smashbox. I see Stila. Why does the page say Sephora? Could it be a misprint?
Then I understood. Sephora put together the ultimate Supermodel Kit with some of the products needed to help make you look like a Supermodel. Well, not quite, but that is what I thought. These products were the actual products that the Sephora makeup artists used for Fashion Week Live. They put them all in a great glittery cosmetic bag too.

Wondering what is inside? Only the best, with a value of $145, for just $79, this Supermodel Kit is a must! The kit includes a Stila Lip Glaze in Brown Sugar, Make Up For Ever Diamond Shadow in Diamond Black 307, Smashbox Mini Travel Photo Finish Foundation Primer in Original, Smashbox O-GLOW, Dior Diorshow Mascara in Black 090, and a Sephora Blush Me! Mono in Abricot Plaisir 6.
Perfection!
Not Just an Ordinary Bronzer.
Like the title says, this is no ordinary Bronzer. Why, it is GlowFusion Micro-Tech Intuitive Active Bronzer - so it cannot be ordinary.
Fusion Beauty's products, particularly those of Glow Fusion, always perplex me. There is just so much science behind their products, that I sometimes wonder - is it hype? Or are these so called "revolutionary" products really different?
Fusion Beauty's GlowFusion Bronzer is formulated with their M-Tox - a special blend of naturally derived ingredients that hinder muscle movement. M-Tox. Is it the naturally derived alternative to Botox? Well, that should be a post in itself, so excuse my question.
"This featherweight pressed bronzer creates a gorgeous glow while softly restoring your youthful lit-from-within radiance. Invisiskin delivers additional antioxidant botanicals including rice bran and honey extract into the skin and keeps skin hydrated and protected for up to 24 hours, while a soft focus effect imparts a creamy texture and diffuses light to soften imperfections. It targets the expression lines while inhibiting muscle contractions to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and rejuvenates your youthful radiance while protecting your skin from free radicals that expedite premature aging."
I just find it interesting that a blend of ingredients such as M-Tox be used in a makeup product. I do agree that the colors look pretty, and that this bronzer isavailable in three shades: Golden, Luminous, and Sunshine. Each bronzer retails for a hefty price tag of $39.
Are you a Fusion Beauty believer? And if you have used this, what are your results with GlowFusion Bronzer?

A Beautiful Summer Glow!
Though it is not officially the middle of Summer, whenever July 15th rolls around, I feel like it is the middle of the Summer. And it depresses me.
I am so into my self-tanning routine, and I am pretty bronzed and looking good, if I do say so myself. But my cheeks needed a little pick me up for a beautiful Summer glow. Enter two of Lancome's cheek products that have my cheeks really looking pretty cheeky - and glowing beautifully!
Star Bronzer Poudre Sôleil Sun-Kissed Bronzing Powder ($34.50). This powder bronzer is available in five shades. For my cheek look, I am using Bronze Terre.
On top of a sweep of Bronze Terre over my cheeks and nose, I apply Blush Subtil Shimmer Delicate Oil-Free Powder Blush ($28.50) in Coral Heat to the apples of my cheeks.

Coral Heat leaves a soft shimmer to my cheeks and adds the perfect glow. The blush is also available in Shimmer Mocha Havana, if you opt for a deeper cheek shade.
Lovin' LORAC!
LORAC Caribbean Crush ($30) palette is everything you need to look bronzed and beachy.
With three beautiful eyeshadows Island, Beachwood, and Dune paired with a beautiful blush in Coral Reef, a bronzer in Bikini Bronze, and a highlighter in White Sand a perfect look is just moments away. The White Sand highlighter is one of the best I have used, and love to sweep it on my brow bone and even dab a bit in the center of my lower lip over gloss. Gorgeous!
If you want to take the look to the next level, then you need to add LORAC Glam Rocks ($16).
Use Metallic Copper, a beautiful loose powdered coppery bronze shadow as an eyeliner, or dabbed into the inner coners of your eyes
