Getting Healthy with Nutrisystem.

I have some really exciting news to share with you. I am making a change in my life, for the better. I am taking control of the one thing that is out of control: my weight. I am now part of the Nutrisystem Nation Blogger Program and will be starting the program within the next few weeks. I am so excited!

After a health crisis two years ago, I lost some weight (40 pounds!) in a really short period of time. I was not well and it was not a healthy way to lose weight. What that did do though, was motivate me to be healthier. I now exercise on a pretty regular basis, but my diet is not good. Some of that weight I lost has started to creep back up on me. I was afraid to step on the scale, but I knew things were bad when my shorts from last summer are now too tight. I finally did step on the scale and was horrified to see that I gained 15 pounds over the past nine months. I now need to lose 30 pounds.

Most importantly, I am at an age where my weight can and will start affecting my health. Both high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes are in my family, and I do not want them to affect me. I need to take control of what I can control, and that is my weight. I am starting now, with the help of Nutrisystem.

I am excited and scared. I am making the commitment in front of all of you and want to be successful. I need to be successful this time.

Stick with me and look for my weekly updates. My food will be arriving soon, and I will update once I have completed my first week. Wish me luck. I need it.

I will also be looking for your support and I want to support you too. If you struggle with your weight, please share. Let's get it under control together!

You can do it!
Good luck!!! I know you can do it! I'll probably lean on you for inspiration...I start in 2 weeks!
Super good luck. I just lost 12 pounds and I'm looking to lose about 12 more. Here is to getting healthy!
It is such a struggle isn't it? I have battled 20-30 pounds all my adult life. I'll lose 15 then gain it back. Best of luck. I'll be rooting for you and following along.
Cindi - Thanks for the vote of confidence. I need it!
Shannon - Thanks! I'm honestly not so sure. I'm hoping committing to the program will help me commit to making it happen. We can definitely lean on each other.
Sarah - Congratulations on your weight loss. Stick with it and you'll have the other 12 gone too! Any secrets that you want to share?
Eve - Thank you so much! I totally understand about carrying around that extra weight. After losing a lot a few years ago, I never imagined that I would start to gain it back. Keeping it off is almost harder I think.
Good luck to you. I want to hear all about it!!!!
Congratulation and here is to much success. I think you'll like it. I did the program for 3 months and lost 21 pounds and have maintained it for well over a year now.
I can completely relate, as I also struggled with my weight for years. But with a major diet change I was able to shed 186 pounds and I can testify that by changing your diet and maintaining a healthy diet even after your "diet" is over you will be able to keep the weight off. The best of luck to you as you are making changes in your lifestyle to get healthy!
