Urban Decay's holiday 2017 collection is called Heavy Metals but do not let that scare you. It is all about metallic makeup which is very on-trend right now. The collection includes a number of lipstick palettes and lip sets (gift sets). Being the lipstick and gloss obsessed girl that I am, I have to say that I am loving all of these pieces.
The star lip palette of the collection is the Vice Metal Meets Matte Lipstick Palette; it's filled with twelve shades of beauty. Would you believe that Urban Decay was creative enough to include six completely new shades into this new palette? OBSESSED! Start with a matte shade for day and switch it up for night with a corresponding metallized shade — genius! I love to layer and mix shades, which I never seem to do enough with tubes of lipstick. When I have a palette like the Metal Meets Matte Lipstick Palette ($39), I seem to mix things up until my hear (or my look) is content.
I am loving the new shades like Spark (get a load of that tonal shimmer in that bright red) and Banger (you can never go wrong with a deep oxblood shade).
The brand has also given use three mini lipstick palettes ($28) which features artwork from the '80s with illustrations of Patrick Nagel. I was lucky enough to have been sent two of the palettes, each one exclusive to different retailers.
Here is Sunglasses which features Roach, Oblivion, Backtalk, Troublemaker and Psycho. Sunglasses is available exclusively only at Sephora.com
This is Untitled which features Doubt, Gash, Naked, Backtalk and Exhibition. Untitled is available from Macy's or online at macys.com.
The gift sets are going to my go-to gifts this year. Little VIces gift sets are not only great ways to get hooked on Urban Decay lippies, but they are phenomenal gifts. I'm obsessed with these. I love the sizes, the packaging and the colors included in each set. I am stocking up to give to my favorite friends.
There is a Little Vices limited edition Lipstick Set ($25) which features five addictive shades of Vice Lipstick which includes one new shade and two exclusives.
My favorite is the Little Liquid Vices set ($25); this limited edition set which features four UD liquid lipsticks in special sizes. I LOVE this long-lasting formula which is super pigmented. And the shades in this set are gorgeous — Crimson, Backtalk, Amulet and Purgatory.
